I've heard of Volant on other vehicles I've own and from what I remember of them, they are much like a stock air box, but have a conical filter in them somewhere and are extremely over-priced for what they truely are.

IMO, buy an intake with a long intake pipe for sound and make sure it goes down into your bumper for cool air. I have the Tenzo intake. It sounds bad ___, sits right in front of the air scoop on the drivers side, and was cheap ~$110 shipped.

Can't go wrong.

I remember when i had my blazer , i was looking at airaid and Volant both looked stock but did not get great reviews ended up going with the K&N Cold air and worked amazing,

Tenzo-R intake to me is the best bang for your buck cant beat it. Has there owen version of a Tuned intake like the Injen system's. If i did not get the TRD as a gift i was gonna go with the Tenzo-r intake system and TRD Vent combo.

Thats what I ended up doing. I got the TRD vent right after I bought the intake. Great choice.

Were you out at the Maroone show this last weekend?

Def a great set up for sure,

Yez zer, saddley i was being antisocial do to a torn ham string and pain in my sciatic nerve. Was not even gonna attend but did it for the team just so we can get a decent amount of members out there. Stayed near my car the hole time in a chiar, wanted to check out the rides and mingle with every one but sadly i was unable to.

Also where did you get the front bumper done? I just gave in my NY plates and now have 2 huge holes and im not happy about that. Have been wanting to black out the front since i got the car and now seems like a good chance so i can get rid/cover the holes.

Has anybody used the Volant kit for the 1st gen xB? It even has extra ducts you can buy for 3 possible air sources: behind the headlight, in the fender, and the left fog light opening.

For the rice-inclined, you could even replace the top cover with a plexiglass window and put some lights in it ;)
