About well me, and RIMS!!!
Hey, guys and gals... I still dont have my tC yet, but i am saving up for it... I still own my 2003 Hemi.... Love the truck, but miss fast carz... My truck can scream on the road/track, but I like to sit low and scream just the same....
I should be getting my tC when they roll over to the '06's most likely.. ('bout 5000 in the hole, now)!!! Hopefully i can get a better trade in value than they are giving me now, a-holes!!! I will most likely sell it right out, and roll whatever negitive equity over into a small loan... So here's lookin up. The possitive about it, that i still have a great vehicle to run around in(GAS though is ____ing me off).., and most of all while i am waiting for my tC, there will be more options out for the tC so i can choose which way i am going to go... One thing i like are the Wide Body Kits, coming out.... yeah, gotta love that...
I have taken a long look at the Chevy's Cobalt, but like the tC a whole hellava lot better, and you cant beat the pricing, plus the Turbo for the tC is BAD-A......@12+lbs of Boost - around 370HP!!! BAM, SOLD!! ENOUGH SAID!! I dont want a car that goes mach ten, just one that turns heads.... Ok, maybe i do want it to go mach 10, can you say tunnel vision...or Smell what the 'ROCK' is Cookin! I'll take a side of Burnt Rubber, with my Smoked Asphalt any day! Oh, well maybe out of character but it sure sounds great.
Someday gentlemen, Ladies ill be where you are sitting today, happily enjoying GTG's, as i am accustumed to, as well as the local track days, or car shows(more privy to than track)... I gotta say that some of the vehicles on here are bumpin, exspecially one vehicle i saw of a B-E-A-utiful Scion, cant remember the screename, owed by a lady, and had stars down the side, volk rims(gold) i believe... Thts what im talking about in show(wo)manship!!! SPECTACULAR!!
One question i have is about the tC's RIM/Tire selection.. I have heard dealers actully put 19" on these puppies? True? Also pics of some of them would be great. I do like the multi spoke-type (not lowrider spokes), Deep Dish Rims i have seen on some cars, one is on this forum about a new wing for the tC, on a white tC.. Really like thise rims. Stock/dealership? Again i will be going to a Wide Body configuartion in the future so i would like to know the Offsets of some of these rims... thanks..
The Thing i love most about the Scion's (tC) is that the aftermarket was ontop of this baby before it was out of it womb, and that is saying alot. I look forward in dealing with you guys/gals later down the road, and hopefully in a year or 2 after i get my baby, itll be show ready, with a Turbo to BOOT!!! Take it easy, and ill see ya on the Highways and Byways... thanks for hearing me out..

the stock rims are 17" and not deep dish as you can tell if uve seen pics. you can get 18's or 19's but personally, I don't like them and wouldn't wast my money. and i dunno what ur talking about with the aftermarket stuff because i'm actually dissapointed with the very minimal stuff available. but it is a new car and lots of things should be available to buy soon.

thats is what i was talking about. I have owned a few cars myself, and trucks, and everytime i get one the aftermarket bomb out, or it takes them forever to respond to the demand. If you have seen the SEMA show, and actually looked online for this ride, you would be amazed at how fast it grew. Not only is the aftermarket streaming with info, and pasrt but the dealer(stealer)ship is doin the same in options. Now you might not like all the items the dealer has for this car, but atleast you have a selection, more than i can say for past experiences.
I didnt mean to imply that there was so much out there that you have a wide range of options. But, to reinterate, there are about 5-10(+/-) different aftermarket Body Kits, and NOT TO MENTION the Superchargers, TurboChargers, and the like... Im not complaining at all, i am AMAZED at the turn out... Again it takes years for the aftermarket to catch on. The more of the tC that are sold, the more the aftermarket jumps on... and since SCION projected this type of turn out for this car, well you see the results. All you would have to do is look at SEMA, and see that the popularity of this car is right in stream with the younger crowd, and my i say the older crowd as well.. I myself, are the in-between, 30 years old, and still wanting a sporty race/show type vehicle. I like variety, and a chance to design/build a vehicle that turns heads and gets numbers... All those who have been to a show/in a show know what i mean. If there is this many selections for this car now, imagine in 5 years what it will be..
My brother owns a G35 Infinity, and he loves this car too, and that is saying alot. So much so he is talking his girl into(not hard/she liked it fisrt off) getting one herself, so he can build on it as well.. All i am trying to get across is that, i am happy with what i am seeing in the potential for this vehicle, unlike the vehicle i already own. The HEMI engine is very powerful, but even Kenne Bell, had to scrap thier SC design for the HEMI, becasue that kept blowing pistons up at 4+lbs of boost, and a whoping 500+ at the wheels for HP. Others have kits out there for the HEMI, but DC had the Viper Techs encrypt the Hemi computer so you cannot tinker with its settings, becasue of its true power potential to compete with the SRT-10. HEMI with a SC or TC was cheaper, and faster than the SRT-10 Viper truck, so DC cut corners to make sure it wouldnt compete against its Top of the Line Vehicle. No competition within the ranks! Only one that got close with that was Nissan, with the 350Z, and the Infinity G35...SAME PLATFORM.....
Getting off subject, sorry... As for the rims again, any info worth while is greatly appriciated.(pics) thanks again for hearing me out, later...
