Hows it going everyone I am new to the scion scene I picked up a 2009 scion tc and after a couple of months put 20k on it. I love it and I am going to keep it forever unless it gets crashed. I currently have CAI, springs, better tires and sway bar but I am looking to make it AWD at some point. I hope scionlife will be better than the other forum i joined. (damn you trolls)

ur kidding right? awd? noone in there right mind can AWD a scion tc unless its Desecendant racing that's been planning on it, ken gushi's tc is RWD BUT it had a completely different engine etc. our cars are FWD and not capable of changing that with a blink of an eye. ur lucky I'm not flaming u cause I'm tired, BUT goodluck when others start to read this thread, HAHA wow. that's sig worth




but answer me this, how r u "planning" on making ur tc AWD?

Nobody is flaming you, we want to know how you are planning on making your car AWD, like what is your plan? what platform are you going to use?

 

OMG guys AWD tC is like a dream at this point.

 

I am going to get the Caldina from Japan then use my $60,000 settlement to build the engine with CP Pistons then build the head then after I am satisfied with my car I will take the caldina rip everything out of it and fab everything up but not without careful planning. If Rado can do this anyone can, as long as you have some powerful ink in your pen. I'm a pretty good mechanic but I am just going to have my friends from Infamous Performance help me. I want SOMETHING one of a kind ya know? I am a kid, I can dream can't I?

so its basically jus wishing u could, don't u think EVERY1 wants an AWD tc? but y do u think noones done it? think bout it. there's been one 6cyl engine swap, and as of now going to be 2 RWD tc's. but please let us know how r u planning on goin AWD?

I'm pretty sure sumthing like that isn't jus bolt on and go, think bout do u know how to AWD a car if it came down to it, even if u have 60k? 6cylinder swap is original but sum1s done it, and RWD has been done to, ur stating u wanna do thi or ur goin to do that, BUT how exactly r u goin to do it?

well I do like the positiveness(sp?) u have, but if ur going to put all that effort and work into the 2AZFE wats the point if ur goin to be goin AWD/RWD anyway, Rado doesn't have it done yet idk if its even started. And gushi's RWD tc has a completely different engine/drivetrain. so bak to my question ur gonna work this engine for wat? do u think u can AWD this engine/drivetrain?

I am going to use a belt driven ferrari v8 with 6 turbos to run my rear wheels while my scion engine is running my front wheels thats how im going to do it...mid engine scion...

But for real, I think it is easier than everyone makes it out to being...obviously there is gonna have to be some serious fab involved but hey thats to be expected, I think if you really sit down and think about it it is not THAT hard. I just want toyota to make one RWD or AWD out of the factory to save the headache

 

trust me if toyota would be a Decent RWD car again I would be all over it. guess we jus have to wait for the toyobaru coming out hopefully soon. but anyway welcum to SL bro, and GL with watever ur car needs
