Hey Everyone, kinda in a bind here,,,,,

need to make a decision super soon, and want to know a couple of things.....

May be getting XB next week and have choice of my two favorite colors,,,,The Camo Green and the Thunder Cloud Silver......Really love "both".

I wash my car about 1-2 times a month (I know , I know....shame shame :( ), but it is how my schedule is. During the summer, I wash with a hose and a great old super soft sponge out in front of my apartment. During the winter, I go to the "hand held" jet spray wash at the car wash and wipe it down with my sponge before I rinse.....(I know I am sinning in some way to you CarWash Gurus,,,,but anyway it has worked for every car I have owned and "yes" they looked great years after doing this carwash procedure :D ) After washing, I wipe down with super soft old terry cloth towels , but will be doing it now with those micro-fiber towels you all talk about on here.....Oh , and I wax/polish 2-3 times a year if that.

Questions are....Which color is gonna hold up better with "me"?...Show less swirls?...Still shine and look good with my car wash style/schedule?.......My car that I have looks good with this process, still beads water and shines. So that is probably how I am gonna be on the Xb with my schedule.

ALSO.......
Will the A/C have an easier time with the Thunder Cloud in hot summer.

And finally, which one looks better ''dusty/dirty''?. :?: ....

Crazy yes, but need to know.

With the questions about dark and light colored XB's paint quality, wanna know what you owners of these two awesome colors thought ?

Need answers quick.

Thanks a million,,,,

Silver doesn't show the dirt/scratches nearly as much as the green does.

I bought a TCM cuz its dusty here, and I don't have time to wash my car every week either. Plus its over 100 degrees during the late spring and summer, and I didn't want to get white.

You should ask how many Thunder cloud owners is there? .....He he LOL. All kidding aside. I really like the silver, it was one of my first choices too but at the time thats all that I would see on the road. Well thats changed I see alot of green camos in my area. The Camo is not bad like lets say black. When the Camo is clean...its clean. At diff times of the day it takes on diff shades of greeen ask any camo owner. It almost has gray look to it sometimes.Camo is the only one in a shade of green. I love the Camo I have not regretted my pick. But this is a one sided opinion, ither way you cant go wrong your picking an xB

Two weeks after I bought my TCM xB, I saw the camo in the showroom, and asked if I could trade.

I have a tcm--but it was very close tossup between the camo and tcm. Longo only had ONE tcm left in stock during the first week that they were out, so knowing that, I went with the tcm at the time.

I would love to swap for a green at any time.

TCM hardly ever looks bad. The thing I hate about it is in low light, or at night it has bronzish tint to it- kindy wierd! It sparkles so preety in the sun though!

Ok ,Ok I will admit the Tcm will at least look good with any glossy black rim.... :P

I have a silver Honda Prelude. People are always commenting on how it always looks so clean, when it it really isn't. For me it was a no brainer, TCM.

I have a camo and it seems to get dirty(or at least look dirty) pretty easily. I would also imagine the swirls will show up real easily as well. If you are concerned about time spent on washing, get a TCM. Granted, when the camo is clean, it's damn clean looking. Only downside with a TCM is that it seems everyone also has one. A while back, someone posted a poll asking how many own a given color, the tcm was pretty common.

As far as cooling in the summertime goes, I live in PHX and bought the camo box near middle/end of summer and it seemed to cool down just fine.

You 'll see dust more on the camo, but everyone knows silver is silver.

Depending upon the angle of light camo looks black, green, dark grey, even slightly brown.

Camo is the best BY FAR. The color has some real depth to it.

Once you go Camo you'll never go...what rhymes with camo here?

Blamo?

Ihave camo and it does show dirt. However, most of the time you cant see it cause its camoflagued.

Just get BSP and wash it more often... Nothing looks better than a black car fresh from the caw-wash :D

Silver never looks dirty, but it never really looks clean either... IMO

I wanted White but it wasn't in stock and picked Camo instead. Never made a wiser decision. I love it. The looks people give you when you tell'em your car is camoflauge.

i agree.

imo, you can't go wrong with either one, but i'll be biased and say camo is better.

I have a Camo Xb and here in Michigan after a good snowfall, it looks like a rolling saltblock with all the white on it. I like the Camo when it is fresh out of a wash but TCM might be better in Michigan. But I still get a lot of looks from other drivers here so Camo is cool!!

I love Camo, but given your questions and concerns I would think the TCM would hold up better for you.

Lighter colored cars tend to be cooler in hot weather compared to darker colors. Darker colors absorb more heat. It's like those windshield reflectors, silver side out reflects the sun's rays and they don't come inside as much. Turn the black side of the windshield reflector out some sunny day and you'll feel the heat difference.

Camo, Camo, but you need to go with the TCM. Camo is the 2nd rarest color to Lava, so don't get one, just JK, all box colors are great, don't matter. Just get one!!!
