Default good shops in baltimore, md?

Since i have had my tc, i have always went to the dealership. but their pricing is getting out of hand. any recommendations where i could get a 30,000 mile service and an alignment for cheaper than $300?

Thats what Jerry;s Toyota/Scion of White marsh quoted me at.

OOOPS! Sorry that's what I get for not looking. We would love to keep your service business, but it never hurts to shop around. If you do come by ask for Phillip Miller, the Scion Manager with the foot in his mouth I sure I have something in my bag of swag for a lady...lol

no not at all just ask for an oilchange and alignment and call it a dau. dealerships are such a joke $200-300 for what?!?! oil change+filter, and air filter. other than that all they do is a basic visual inspection that they would normally do during an oil change. what a joke! than they want another 500 for brake flush, power steering, and trans flush (if the writer is a re)

you really dont even need an alignment, if the car doesnt pull at all and your not lowered, you really dont need an alignment and just ask someone locally to rotate your tires (it takes 15 mins if that)

all you really need is an oil change. tire rotation, air filter if it is dirty. and alignment if your car has a strong pull to the left or the right, or has unusual tire wear.

and don't let them talk you into anythingelse.

i took an xa to get an oil change yesterday, and they offered me 15k service, which was pretty much what i was ordering, but included "adjusting belts" and well...the belt on the xa isn't adjustible...there is no tensionor pulley...so not necessary.

most of the time the writers dont have a whole lot of knowledge about the specific cars. they just have a general knowledge and what techs & videos tell them so for them to say that they will adjust belts is not completely absurd. however, im sure the service they were trying to offer you was at least $50 more and was not needed but to the average person, they dont know the difference

thanks phillip for being honest at first! you were just trying to sucker me in!! lol.
im jk.

yeah, well i am getting my car lowered within 2 months and there is a pull, so i would need an alignment.

any other suggestions other than the dealership to get one?

i can change the air filter myself, it was just the other work in the 30 K service i didnt know how to do.
