Hey, i need to tap into my RPM/TACH wire for my windowswitch on my nitrous today...

i was wondering if the black wire under the dash (pin 9) will work. It says its a "data link" line tho.. \/
[Tachometer black ac data link connector under driver dash, pin 9]

Will this be sufficient? or should i splice it off the ECU, or 1st coil?

Any insight appreciated, or alternative methods aslong as they give instructions

I don't know for sure. There are wiring diagrams out there if you look. I would be safe and go right off the ECU though.

 

Thanks. I found the tach 1... it seems to be E5-1.

But for the TPS.. everyone is telling me to tap into the brown wire, right on the actual TB. But on the diagram, it says the BROWN wire is for sensor malfunction, and reads over 5v. Even on the nitrous DIY it says brown wire, so i think thats still it?

 

the black wire you mentioned is fine

 

good 2 know. Ill either use that 1, or the ecu 1

 

For tps youll want to tap into the tps for engine control wire - E8-20 on the 07-09

 

i just tapped into brown on the TB for now... i need 2 sswtich 2 premium gas than ill test it out.

1 step cooler plugs a NECESITY?

 

to tape the tps it the light green wire trust me i had to tap all of the to hook up my window switch
