In your opinion :) Not blue to me, in fact they are a bit more white in person than the pics. Looks perfect IMO.

You are aware white led bulbs come in around 3 different shades of white, and if you are anti color, I can re-stock 100% pure white versions again which have no HID look at all, just pure white :)

However the last time I stocked those, everyone complained that they did not have that crystal HID look to them. They said they looked like normal pure white bulbs, like the PIAA superwhite bulbs, which I personally am not a fan of *LOL* Cannot please them all!

Like I said. I GUARANTEE them, if for whatever reason you do not like them, you can return them no questions asked! And as stated, I have sold hundreds of them and have had nothing but the best reviews!

A cop cannot ticket you for a white bulb, because they are not blue, they are white *LOL* :) And like I said, I have sold literally hundreds on here, not a single ticket. And I daily drive over a 100 miles a day with them, 5 days a week with no tickets *LOL* And I have them in all of my own vehicles.

And snow, next time do not post trying to down a product that you have not used & do not know anything about. We all know you also mod cars and license plate lights as well and promote yourself on here. Very uncool. Just stick to what you do and I will stick with what I do.

I have no beef with you either, I think you make a great 3rd brake mod & plate mod! However, what I stated is not an accusation, it is a fact. Correct, while 08's are projection, they are not internally sealed from heat. They can breath into the rest of the housing. Also these would not be a good choice for that app because of the way the socket faces. A good old piaa super white or ebay super white 194 bulb would be a better choice for headlamp housings.

They fit the headlights, but they will not last long term. They will eventually fail prematurly as extreme temps are the number 1 killer of leds. I will not warranty them if installed in the headlight housings.

Also I will tell it to ya straight guys, the 3022's I sell, while looking great, do not match the 194's color wise perfectly. The 3022's are more of the blue white which has been the topic of ugly discussion. Also they are not as bright as the 194's. They however, do look very good and serve the purpose well for a cheap price. And they are reliable. I am working with the manufacturer to get a brighter 3022, but when that happens, of course the price will go up, close to double the current $2.69 for the 3022

*LOL* You are to much. Not going to acknowledge? OMG *LOL* I stated in the first post the color! Between a 5&6K HID! And what color is a 5-6K hid? It is pure white with the smallest hint of blue which makes it stunning looking, like an OEM hid light projected on the ground. Wow what a night. And as stated, if people really want the lower color temp for a more yellowish white light, I can still have them made up! No extra cost!

I believe he is also on the dslr posts as he mentioned having a great camera, He offered to take pics for me to use as my camera sucks. If he see's this post, he can vouch for it. I used his other post as it was a good pic. The actual color is between the other photo and this one. EXACTLY as described. Between a 5&6K hid.

Also you have no idea what I do and do not put together. Want pics of a bunch of 194 blanks on my desk with my name next to them? *LOL* You sure know a lot about what I sell and what I do :) And yes, the current batch of 194's I had produced for me, I have no problem admitting that. That does not mean anything at all. I do not always have time to make batches of bulbs. But I still do prototype work and testing to make sure the product is good. And I still build a ton of custom units.

I can even supply the 194 male and female sockets in QTY as I stock them because of how many custom items I produce and how many batches of certain bulbs I still produce!

Ok guys, here is another pic. Hope this one ends the BS about them being blue & getting you a ticket, which would be true, if they were BLUE... which they are not blue... as stated many times and even by customers that own them... And yes you can get a random psycho cop that will pull you over for anything from bugs on your windshield to license plate frames, but that is just how things are. I think you are quite safe with these :)

I just took this pic. The bottom 3 leds are a type of 4 chip white superflux I use which are the color temp this guy is all up in arms about. I actually really like the blueish white color temp, looks really cool especially in turn signals. Anyways, the superflux pictured are the blue / white, more of an 8K+ HID look.... I also sell a 1 & 5 chip version of superflux in case anyone is looking :)

The bulb above them is the one I am selling on this post which is a 5-6K and is exactly as described. In person, my bulbs have ZERO yellow to them. They just look pure and clean like a 5-6K hid. For those that have not seen an 5-6K hid, they are a super pure white with the lightest hint of purplish blue to them. NOTHING even close to a color that would get you a ticket IMO. They will however get you noticed in a good way as they really stand out from the crowd! Hope this clears up the conflict so we can move on :tap:

I believe Jeremy when he says its not that blue in person. I have a similar color on my car and never had cops issues. New lexus also have a slight hint of blue for their license plates.

I actually had these for the headlights too and they didn't fail on me I jus eventually changed them for blue ones. but I also have HIDs so idk

You guys are welcome to use them in any way you wish :) Just certain uses, I cannot warranty such as headlight housings which can damage any led product, no matter what the retailer tells you.

And for the record, you are correct, some well build bulbs like these hold up really well in... adverse conditions

Sorry for the dumb question- for the 2 dome lights (have a second one in back) and the license plate I need 4 total bulbs?

No prob! The rear dome light & trunk light are the 3022 festoons. The front domes are 194/168 bulbs. The 3022's are a few mm longer than stock so it takes a little work to get them in and then they are good to go for the life of the car.

The rear trunk area 3022 can be a PITA to install. You have to bend the tab back a decent amount. Just be 100% careful not to short the metal on the led housing to the other contact that runs close to it. Hard to describe but if you do, you will blow a fuse. Even I have made that mistake & several of my customers.

yeah, my tail lights are painted and i have 3% tint. reverse lights do me no good. and other drivers will just have to figure it out. lol.

Not really, however the bulbs are the same across almost all toyotas, 194 fronts & plates, 3022's for rear domes and so forth. Also carry all the leds for your gauge cluster swap.

All my leds have been changed from garage's bulbs. I have a FM and the license plate lights do look blue in pics due to the color of the bulb hitting the FM. They are actually white and look really sexy! If you guys want a pic I can get one tonight...

well, these turned out blue for me. the LED itself looks nice and well built, but just like all the other "WHITE LEDS", it turned out blue in which i was thinking. If i were to rate them at a Kelvin, i would give these a 8k look. they are bright, not crazy bright but bright, i can give them that. The Polarg bulbs i have in my license plate lights are probally around a 4k because its not white, its a white with a shade of yellow in which i dont mind at all. The bulbs of course give off more light to where its needed because its not directional like the LED bulbs. All in all, not my cup of tea. Sorry Garage but ill be sending all of them back to you by the weekend.

yea i did, it was a little better but the current LED bulb i had in my dome lights were a little brighter and more whiter.

The build quality is good. The plastic piece is very durable. It is easier and safer to handle than a halogen bulb.

The color is very nice. It gives that Lexus look to it and its just what I pictured it to be.

The brightness is good. It is pretty much the same brightness as the halogen but there is that color difference.

For the price of ten dollars I was very pleased with this simple mod. It's a nice little difference in the appearance for a very low cost.

On the tc, there is not a specific led that lights the needle. The needles are lit by the surrounding leds only.

I have the 4 led blue rear domes located here on my store. They are great units for the price! They also fit the rear trunk light as well.

how do i get to the license plate lights..i saw two door on the back of the hatch to access them but wouldnt come out......is there any way to get to them

You twist the sockets to release them from inside the hatch, under the two small covers.. The the bulbs pull straight out, they do not twist out. Once the bulbs are out, turn on your lights & insert the led bulbs. If they do not light, flip them around and they will as they are directional :)

from inside or outside of the hatch......i saw where it plugs in from the back..but do you change them from the back or the front...

No tools needed. The sockets twist to remove them from the lens housings. The pull the oem bulbs out.

The only tool you might is a set of plyers....Its a paint in the @$$ if its the first time removing the bulbs. If you do it by hand, your one stong person lol

If you have the 08+Headlights they shouldnt burn out as fast. I have had them for a little over 5 months and no burn yet still as bright as the day i got them

the plug int part of the bulb is the same. If it does not light up the first time. just reverse the polarity, by turning it 180 degrees

do you take the actual bulb out of the oem housing and put the led in there? or does the led connect to the electrical socket directly?

you take out the whole plug turn it to the left comes out then pull the bulb straight out dont twist it.. none of the bubls on the tc twist comes straight out

Yes, they are :) That is why I brought these on! The aluminum 3022's are a match to the 194/168's I sell and the new cubby bulbs are brighter & also match color wise! Very good little bulbs. Best on the market IMO

would you know what bulb the headlight turn signals use and do you have any? I just got my side markers on mirrors done in white in Exposed By Josh and it all goes so well together so trying to take out the amber in front. and no worries on being legal, im ok.

n/p just shoot me a pm. As for headlights. I do not recommend useing any leds in them, use a standard bulb / colored bulb.

Yes they do, tc uses 3 front domes, xb uses two. Same licence plate, same rear dome & hatch area light.

Turn signals for the tc require the housings be cut open and superflux leds custom mounted. Here is a writeup I did a long time ago on it. Also the tC front dome takes 3 194/168 bulbs.

can anyone tell me if green LED's for your license plate are illegal in florida or anywhere else?

I know for a fact that red & blue are. No idea on green. I know a local guy runs green in his and has not been bothered, but would attract the attention of police... I am sure they can find some way of ticketing you for green.

these bulbs are no joke....i had the older ones and i thought they were the best then i bought the newer ones from garage1217 and they are amazing i mean bright much richer in color i get so many compliement..i see other cars that have similar ones but there not bright at all..but you wont regret buying from him i do plan on buying more.....im taking a chance in the light housing but if they burn out that fine for me no biggy there cheap ill get more...

Which bulbs will fit on an 06 XA? Thinking about a purchase, dont even care if they are a tad blue visually, got purple on my license plate now, they are kind of dim though. Cant believe you would get a ticket for this, our western Pa. cops have better things to do, like donuts. PM me the info.

In the xa, the front domes are 194/168 which is the same as the license plates. I know they have a rear dome that is a 3022 festoon. I am not sure if the xa has a trunk light..?

Do they work as the parking lights as well? I have some crappy $2 ones in my parking lights, and they fit in my dome light as well.

They can be put in the parking lights, however I do not recommend it / will not warranty them if placed on the headlight housings. Excess heat can cause them to fail prematurely. I can say that I get a ton of customers telling me that they use them in the headlights without issue.

Also these bulbs would face out of the housing on a tc, would not make the whole housing glow like a regular bulb.

You can get to the cubby by reaching up behind the console via under the dash, below the glove box. Or just take off the center console and reach back and pop out the light socket.

i ordered some to try them out since they are so inexpensive. the color is a little too blue like i expected for my taste but the output is very good. probably the brightest 194s you can get and as long as they last they are a great deal. i just wish they were made in amber for turn signal sidemarkers.

sorry i didn't read through the 10x pages but it seems these license plate lights are very bright and blue but I'm wondering how long they last? I bought a bag from ebay and they keep on dying every month.

They will not die, I warranty them for the life of the car :) They are the most reliable LED bulbs I have come across ever so you have no worries. Also they are bright and white with a hint of violet to them.

Right on! Remember that the aluminum 3022's are color matched to the aluminum ringed 3022's, just thought I would mention that. The 4 led ones are a steal as I am clearing them out for a super cheap price!

i got these in the mail, but have not installed them yet as my license plate lights. How easy is it to do? Do i just take out two screws from the outside, or do I have to take out that piece with the 12 clips and remove the handle from the inside and all that crap?

I am actually not sure on the XB1, most scions have bulb access from the inside of the door via pop out plastic panels. Maybe another XB1 owner can jump in and give details!

Also remember, the bulbs are polarized, which means if they do not light up when inserted, take the bulb out and rotate it 180 degrees & re-insert it!

These are great bulbs just changed out every LED on the inside of my car and got the ones for the license plate too. Very bright and look just like the ones on the Lexus i shoulda bought them sooner. Great guy to deal with also everything went well. I would definitely buy them again.

Super easy install. Take a phillips screwdriver and remove the screw holding each housing in. 1/4 twist to take the old bulb out, pop the new one in, 1/4 twist to lock. Put the tab on the side of the housing in place first, then screw it back in place.
