Default about brake caliper painting

I've been looking into some DIY's of painting the brake calipers, and they use different techniques and such.
I was wondering if it was necessary to take the whole calipers off and painting them.
Can i just leave them screwed up, clean the calipers, sand the outside of it, and just use a brush to paint it?
Don't want to go through all the hassle of taking them out, worrying about brake bleeding or watever and such.

buy the duplicolor paint at autozone. leave the caliper on.. just sand it down really good (the prep work is the most important part)

ive painted mine multiple times.. i didnt even tape anything off..

be sure to get the brush kit.. and not the spray kit.. i cant imagine the mess that a spray can would make

If you read my post, i was actually referring to the DIY link you posted. He takes off the brake bads and needs to go through multiple steps.
I was just wondering if I needed to do that. BUT~ seems like i don't.

half of the DIY here is outdated.....if you get the brush kit you dont have to take off the caliper just clean it really good then tape off if you need to just paint....then wait a few mintues paint again until your satified then your done..

I wouldnt recoomed the spray can its just a mess you gotta take off everything and mask everything....the caliper kit is much better

Also get an "Artist's Pack" (at Home Depot or Lowes) of brushes to reach those hard spots.

it's gonna be gray most of the time...

what's so hard about taking the calipers off? well.. you can remove the brake cylinder mount fine..
i'd just tape plastic and mask off the brake cylinder assembly itself so you don't have to disconnect the line..

whatever.. do what you want..

I was too lazy to take mine off. Those sponge brushes work really well.

That stuff is cheap as hell, im totally unhappy with it, and will be using g2 next year.

Use the autozone trash if you want to mess with it every year. (f you decide to use it do like 3 coats min on each)

And yes, tape everything off leave them on, no reason to remove it. Get a few different sized brushes.

i dont mind repainting mine every year....i change alot of stuff anyway....most people would be glad to get a good year out of the autozone paint if its done proper nothing wrong with their paint..

i can say im happy with how mine turned out better then expected i put about 3 coats so ill be nice and thick then put some clear coat on it to protect it..i did one wheel at a time
