as far as your car, you need a drastic drop to properly pull off those wheels.

I am also not a fan of the rhinestones everywhere....it just wasn't a style meant for our cars

I like the sound system and Jesus fish...I agree with everyone that you have good things going on with your ride, however your ride would look so much cleaner without the "Swarovski" plus I never seen a VIP ride with Swarovski

exterior looks good, but interior makes me cry. the rhinestones are the worst. it looks like the exhaust tip doesn't fit the opening either. i say +1 for wheels -1 billion for sparkles.

Hey i really dig the spoiler and the rims! The interior is amazing also, it looks like a fancy hotel...haha A little too much rhinestones, but it's not that bad.

The interior is weird with all that glittery stuff, but those lights on your B-Pillar are SIIICK!! i just thought that that was the most creative part of the car.. good job with that dude.. but yeah, lose the exhaust, drop the car, and lose the glitter. :D

Thanks for he constructive critisism. The exhaust is actually a new muffler after cutting off the old one from my Skunk2 system (I can hear all the sighs :).

GAS did nothing to my car. I was blessed enough to go down there on a tdy and help build some cars for the Air Force Recruiting Service.

I can't convince anyone, or change any minds, but the Swarovski Crystals, Sheepskin wheel cover, and muffler (not tip, muffler, stay). Why? Because I love em all, and it makes me happy. It does feel like an executive suite. I might not be full on VIP, but it is sooooooo much better than just blending in and waiting to die, hoping no one will ever notice my existance. My car is my canvas. I'm no Van Gogh, but I don't quit painting. Last paragrapgh not out of anger, just sharing the man behind the car.

I know it makes no difference to someone who already has there mind set but...

MikeC, overall good job, some of it might not be my taste but again to each their own, but you did it your way so props to that. I'm actually diggin' the soffet type lights on the b-pillars, the rims and exhaust are sick. I've only seen those type rims on one other SW tC and it looks nice. Definitely quality stuff, didn't cheap out that's for sure. Not sure if you're planning to but drop that thing and it would look even better!

like everyone, the crystals are overkill, randomly placed, id say if you had a few here and there it would pass, but not my taste

i know you may like the muffler, but it just doesnt fit, either change it to something with a round tip, or at least cut your bumper to make it look good

wheels are sick! but a little lower would really make them pop! also get a lip kit! i would normally say OEM gfx kit or Five axis, but look into the JP Vizage kit, i think it would look really good on you car

Original and clean. Vip style wasn't meant for our cars but I think you did well, minus all the jewels. Coilovers will make the car look a lot better too.

I personally do not like the look of your tC at all. if you are going for the "vip" look, sportmax wheels and crystals everywhere is not going to get you there. The fluffly steering wheel cover is just to damn girly, lose it.You are headed in the right direction, somewhat, but you have a lot of work ahead of you if "vip style" is where you want to go.

Thankyou for your restraint. I think I have heard it all. But that is awfull kind of you not to flame. Mostly I think of SL as a group of friends. When I first got on the forums, i took everything so personally, and I was such an a-hole. But then I realized, most people here just want what is best for each person's ride. I do understand that VIP is a lot different than what I have, but the military just don't pay enough for the Lexus right now. Which is my own fault for being in debt anyways. I do like my car however, and will not claim to be VIP probably ever.

While I'm here, I am tring to install some coilovers that I bought on SL, but I can't piece them togeather. There were no instructions, so I'm kind of geussing. Any advice would be great with this small puzzle.

^looks like you bought sleeves, not the greatest choice since they dont always fit the way theyre suppose to, and from what i know i dont think anyone runs these on the tc?

Just save up and do it right man. You'll be more satisfied with yourself when you do, trust me. And the fluffy and sparkley stuff, has to go man.

As for the coilovers, I have no idea. Hopefully someone can help you out.

they are sleeves but without directions, I can't tell which pieces go where. I've been experimenting with them all night now.

I may take the advice on the fluffy and sparkly stuff. But the sheepskin is nice in the Nevada summer. Mmmm fluffy.

I'm not a huge fan of the interior either, but I agree your style would be more appealing to the masses if you had a 1st gen xb.

As far as the toyota badges... people do it on tc's cause it's both cleaner looking (chrome and what not) than the Scion badge, and also more widely recognized.

Maybe theres no counterpart, but IMO since it's made by Toyota in the same factory as toyotas, why not?

If I was going VIP i'd want chrome toyota emblems too.

For me the engine, and a million other parts on the car say toyota, and that's my favorite brand so I would love to have them on there. It's a hotly debated topic on here so I'm trying to avoid any drama, I just like it.

Quick note I did take off the steering wheel cover, and the crystals from the steering wheel, but some are going to stay. Just tastefull touches here and there.

Not digging the crystals but overall nice looking tC!! The lights above the b-pillar's was a pretty sweet idea.

ok here are some new pivs afte gc sleeve overs. Yes trimming was involved. S o if you are going to run low offset wheels and ride low, you'll have to sacrifice. Some crystals were removed, and the sheepskin too, but I still want the vip inspired similar to, never quite the real thing but still mine and I love it look.

Looks ALOT better now, i think the front needs to go down some more, but looking alot better for sure!

Yeah I might have to do something a bit drastic becaust the front is already on the lowest pearch setting. Maybe it's time to remove a coil. I know the can of worms that subject opens up around here, but. So my Idea is this. If I need to drop an inch or two, I can remove the front wheel, and place the jack under the lower control arm, then lower the jack until the car is sitting where it was when it was resting on all four tires (as measured from the ground to the side skirt.). Once the car is back at that height, with the spring compresed, I can mark the spring at say 2" from the top. Once marked, I can rempve and cut and it should be acurate because t was marked while compressed.

I have seen cut springs before, and when their done right, you can't even tell. A friend of mine cut a coil off his spring them laid it on a belt sander to get it even again (like it's supposed to be) and it looked perfect.


Temperz, you guys are going for different looks. Your fender gap is measured in fists instead of fingers. Whereas the OP is going for VIP, which in the scene the crystals apply. lol

i will say that is one of the most riced out tc's i've seen in a while

VIP/LUX is hard to do correctly, and even harder to do on a two door coupe. I'll tell you this much. Rolling on Sportmax isn't gonna cut it. Your head is in the right spot, but everything just looks tacky, rather than VIPish.

Even though it won't change any opinions, and just to clarify. There are no "Bedazzled, or bejewelled", or cheap rhinstone parts on this car. The crystals, whether or not they are hated or loved are Swarovski; every last one. For those of you who are familiar with VIP companies, you will already know that Grason-D.A.D. (one of the leading companies in the VIP movement) only uses Swarovski crystals. Here is the website for reference

Already have a fidanza shifter, and I will never have a a metal shift knob again, it's either too hot, or too cold.
