Default Viper 5901 + Defroster hook up. HOW?

I can't find a single poster other than some other poor sole asking this question and getting no answer.

I am pretty much a jack of the trade when it comes to installing alarms but not quite an ace.

I just installed a 5901 unit on my Fiance's polar white 05 xB and its about my 8th install and to this day, I still have no idea how to hook up a defroster. Everything else runs great, the remote start, door trip, glass break, etc...

I looked at the schematics and got a little lost, I understand relays and all but I am not sure what wires I need to tap. My theory is I need to bypass the console switch with a relay by tapping the wire in and out with the 87 and 30 poles to each wire respectively and then run the ground-when-starting wire to the 85 and a 12v constant to the 86.

This seems like overkill though cuz the car has a built in relay, but I am having trouble understanding the schematics of which wire I could tap to trigger the relay.

You have to use the 2nd status output wire (blue/white) and test the wires directly at the defroster switch to see how it operates. Once you see if it requires a pulse to activate or a steady ground, you can wire your relay accordingly or possibly luck out and hook the blue/white wire directly up to the defrost trigger.

I kinda knew that much but just wanted to skip the testing if some one had already done it.
