I just dropepd my car on DF210s and i was wondering if a tire alignment was necesasary. Feels completely fine just as it used to cept a lil bumpier ride. also, anyone have any before and after specs of their alignemnts?? and also where would be the best place to go for an alignment? i was thining sears or something.. heard alot of bad things from walmart

Yes. Absolutely.

You're changing suspension geometry so even if everything "feels" OK, something might be off and might end up causing quite a bit of premature tire wear.

I am dropped on TRD from the factory, and I ran the front tires down to the steal belts within the first 6k miles. That is not a typo.

Get an alignment after a week or two. This is my 3rd dropped Scion, and instead of listening to all the people who say you dont need it, do yourself a favor and get it done

You're supposed to give it a week or two for the springs to settle. Did you go to the shop right after the drop?

No I didn't go immediatly after. I took the advice that everyone else on here is giving now and waited about 3 weeks.

When I got my wheels a few months ago there wasn't any odd tire wear, and I was on stock steelies for aver a year after the lowering springs went on.

im having trouble reading this -- does the "specified range" mean the recommended settings for the tire?

Definitely want to second this... you probably won't even notice the toe is bad, but it has no problem totally shredding your tires. Uneven wear (on the inside or outside) is a good indicator.

I've been dropped on my NF210s since Sept 07, switched to my 18 Nitto neogens May 08 and my tires have no premature wearing anywhere.

I'm on coilovers, 3" drop and just had the alignment done. Camber wasnt bad but the toe was way off, just like Quitethings. Take a look at his before and actual numbers on the Toe. And from what I understand...that is what will chew up your tires. I went to a local shop here that could get my car on the ramp. Walmart, Sears, Pepboys...etc, they dont care if the wreck the undercarriage of your car. Make sure it's someone that can get it onto the ramp without ripping up your car.

I didn't do an alignment when I dropped my xA with DF210's and I drove many many miles and never saw any where at all. But soon after I got rid of the springs and bagged it. For sure had to get an alignment then ;)

The specified range is a general guide on how most cars should be aligned. It is not specifically for the xD, however, these settings will work for any car.
