Default Toyota upper front grill upgrade

Ive been searching around for a decent upper grill, but cant justify the cost of either the grillcraft or fig frill. I did some searching around at trdsparks.com, and found the toyota upgraded grill

i guess my real question is a. is it easy to install? b. can it be painted flat black? and c. any pics?

any info would be greatly appreciated

awesome thanks for the info. i have a neighbor who has one on a stingray metallic, but i dont really dig the silver look. i have a classic silver with moslty blacked out accessories, so i want to stick with the black theme. im assuming its aluminum, and could be painted with metal paint, but if not, how would i go about painting it?

Have it powder coated, it will hold up much better to the abuse that a front grill can take, as compared to simply painting it. Black powders are available anywhere from flat black, to satin black, to semi gloss, to full gloss, depending on what you're looking for.

Here are the installation instructions:

I just did a quick in the Pacific South regional forum and came up with these:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=252124
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=248214
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=229073
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=202652
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=186741

You should be able to get rough quotes by calling them.

You could also post up in that section asking for Mission Viejo referrals, or just look in your Yellow Pages under Powder Coating and call around.

is your friend.
