Hello out there....I desperately want the improved ride (I have a TEIN H set now on my box), but want the original height restorerd......

I hit the lips constantly!!....does anyone have a set of Coilovers? Know where a USED set is? OR......have any info on "Spacers" that can restore the original height?....

hmm if you want stock height you can go back to stock springs i guess :lol: are you referring to something that could raise only temporarily or do something permanenet? if you want permanent id be down for a spring trade :D :wink:

thnaks for the reply.....what I want is the improved ride (so the stock springs are out 100%)....and the stock height....I was told that coilovers can be adjusted to stock height - is that true?

OR spacers can be fabricated I was lead to believe....some people say it is possible - others say it it not.....

I am not a mechanic, but what is the comlication with making a solid steel spacer to put under the TEIN H springs to restore the height? make it 2" thick and custom made to fit exactly?

Don't all you lowered boxes hit stuff ALL the time? It might look cool but everybody's front lip is either scrapped or cracked for sure......

there MUST be other people who want the GREATLY imporived rides of the springs , but WITHOUT the bothersome drop......

What color are your springs? I have H-Techs and did not drop that low.

I think if I am reading this correctly the Tein coilover at full height is still a 1.6in drop. http://tein.com/ti/l42.html

well....I can't remember the color, but I am sure that they are "H" spings - not the "S" (I have the box in front of me)......

and I put my box next to my friend's stock spring box and ACTUAL (not claimed) drop in front was a tad over 2" and the only way to see this for sure is to actually measure exactly right next to stock....

I was also told that the coilovers can be adjusted back to stock height by several people......does anyone know for sure? Has anyone does this?

Has anyone made any spacers yet to get back to stock height? This would be the much cheaper solution for me.....

I really really hate the constant and unending scrapping - cars aint supposed to be that low and all the driveways etc. tell every lowered box that clearly over and over again.....

looking cool for very minimal performance improvement and damaging the front lip repeatedly.....I guess that I just don't "get it"...BUT I do LOVE the dramatically improved ride of the TEIN springs - that's for sure....and will NOT go back to stock for sure........

most coilovers at full height are about .5 to 1.5 inches lower than stock and tein coilovers go lower than 1.6 maybe they meant 2.6. and if yer box is at a 2 inch drop then something is wrong with those springs. and my box is dumped real low and i rarely scrape on stuff. only if i'm not carefull . it helps if you are used to driving lowered cars , my previous cars are long and low so i'm a lil used to it.

Theres a set of DropZone coilovers on eBay that say they are adjustable from 0-4". You might want to check those out.
