Default I need help with CAI....

OK I did the search, Jacked a few posts But I want my own to keep better track of my options.

I got a 05 TRD CAI, I have a 08 TC. now I am calling on the Vast Knowledge of the ScionLife collective to help me get this installed. Now i have been brain storming. I can get the 05 maf and i assume harness clip. But will this throw a code

I can also try to find an adapter? or replace the pipe with the MAF hole ..lol maf hole.
Any way this is my dilema. HELP!!!!!!!

x2 man.

just sell the thing and get the proper intake for 09. its gonna give you much more headache trying to make that intake work for something it wasn't designed for.

I cant see the tubing being that much diffrent than the one for the 08. the MAF ok that got smaller. but to redesign the whole part? The air box is in the same place. I dont know lets see what happens once I get the adapter.

well the adapter got to the house today, gonna install tomorrow. I put the adapter on the pipe that houses the maf. great fit. gotta give it to Randode.com , I could do with out the web address etched into the side of the adapter but the skull etch is cool so I guess it evens out. Ill see what I can do to get pics up with it installed.

hmm, the reason why i said im not sure if itll fit is because the randode adapter does not work with all intakes. i my self have an 07+ TRD CAI and i can tell you the only difference i can see physically is the placement of the MAF. on the 05-06, its closer to the throttle body, on the 07+ its farther along the pipe next to the bypass valve. not sure if that makes a diff but you will soon find out i guess GL with it.

OK so the CAI went on without a problem. the adapter worked like a charm. No issue, the rest of the TRD CAI fit right into place like it was supposed to. Ill post pics soon as I can. but for the record the Randode.com adapter for the 05-06 trd cai to 08-09 TC works without any issues.
