Hey folks just wondering if 235/40/18's on a 18x8 wheel with 45mm offset will rub?
Im on a TRD drop but later going on to coilovers.

would it be smart going with the 235's or steppin down to 225's?

Pretty meaty for 18's. Stick with 225/40 and you'll be good. Even if you go to coilovers, 45+ offset isn't much to worry about.

i have 235/45/17 with a 42mm offset i believe on mines plus im on H-techs so im a lil bit lower then you are and i never rub. you will be fine, more grip for you.

no, but im planning to run the setup.. only i have a 35 offset on 18x8

Actually I have 18x7.5 et45 with 225/40/18 and on TRD coilovers and it was rubbing a lot. On a straight line and turning. Now im running -1.8 camber in the back and in the front I took off the plastic fender wells. Now it doesn't rub at all.

hmm seems like the fender liners would have to go. esp if i go on coilovers.

hows the trd coilovers working for you?

i like them a lot....i dont take my car to the track or drive a like a crazy person...i just cruise :D so for daily driving they're fine, i love the drop.

would you say the car handles better?
im really thinking about the trd coils.

its bumpy because of how low i have them....front is maxed and rear is almost maxed. but im sure if you lower them about 1.5" it should handle better than stock. anything lower than that handling will get worse. for me, i DD my car so handling is important but not a priority.
