We are less than two months away from our first Redline TA event for the 2009 season. For 2009, we are making some minor changes to the PTuning tC for the upcoming season. We'll post more pics once we get a chance to work on the car.

looks like you guys took a lot of weight off that crankshaft. that thing should rev up pretty quick.

 

im also curious about that exedy modular clutch. is that a custom order, or something that will be coming to the aftermarket?

How should the new crank hold up being less material?

 

Just the fronts, the rear will come the same time as your RS.

It's a twin disc setup. Same design as the Exedy Twin-disc for the evos, except this is a push-style as opposed to a pull-style found on the evos. We will also be testingout the HD pressure plate which will handle 800ft/lb TQ. It will be released shortly.

Material was only removed at the counter weights and not at any "structural" area so strength of the factory forged crank has not changed, just the reciprocating weight and crazy fast revs. The crank on our current motor from last season was also lightened. This crank which will go into an '07 long block is even lighter. Probably not recommended for daily driving (at least not this light) since the revs will drop to quickly but perfect for a race setup.
