I haven't even made the first payment on my stock camo XB, and I got rear ended by a jeep wrangler! She hit me so hard, everything flew out of the cubbies. Boy, the box is tough! Although the noise was deafening, and I imagined the back all smashed, there's just a dent in the bumper. Scince I'm learning that the box seems to be tailgate bait, I thought I'd post that a new box bumper (in MD) takes three days to install (mostly paint drying time) and costs $611. I'm considering making an "I BRAKE FOR TAILGATERS" bumper sticker! What a gr8 car!

mine got rear ended the other week too, cost almost 1600$ to fix, new tyc taillights, new rear bumper, left side bumper lip, bumper reinforcment replaced, and soem body work to the spot behind the bumper

I was hit about 2 months after I got mine too. Luckily the damage was minimal and all I needed was a new bumper cover and reinforcements. I bought the cover from a SL.com member and came out of pocket $200 rather than the $600 that the dealer wanted.

so when i got rear ended it costed about 8000 dollars to get it fixed it wasnt totalled because they said my car was worth 19000 oh well.

$1300 for new bumper and some minor body work behind the drivers side of the bumper.

Why are you guys paying for your new bumbers? Why not get insurance info from the other driver and get it fixed that way?

the bumper cover is only 134 at the dealership. its not painted though
