not sure if this has anything to do with the cold climate i live in, but it seems sometimes that there is a faint whistling sound when you press the accelerator. it seems more obvious when going at a higher speed such as on the freeway. anyone experience this?

 

I believe most people have posted that is the stock intake air box... it's been said to be a CAI with a more restirctive filter and what not. Nothing to worry about I would think. Why are you driving without music anyways? Crank that shiznitalbam and get a system, lol

Its the car sucking in air. With an intake its a lot louder. I think it sounds good. :D With the K&N installed it was really loud.

 

i hear this noise in mid-high RPMs in 2nd gear only. waiting to get my K&N CAI so I get hear it in every gear.

 

You sure you're not hearing the VVT-i? That things sounds cool when it kicks in!

First time I noticed it was after I took the charcoal filter and resonator out of my intake. I was driving through the parking lot at work and my friend is like "Does that have a turbo " ... I was confused at first but then I noticed the sound - I think it sounds kick ___ (Not that I'm trying to pretend I have a turbo or anything)
