Default broken stock grille - upper tabs easy to find/make?

I just bought an oem stock grille for my 1st gen xB on ebay and it was listed as having one of the upper tabs missing... I got a good deal, figured I could rig something up and went for it. After the auction closed the guy emailed me and said that the other upper tab is missing and that he'd discount the auction $15. Before I start to haggle him down, is it worth it? I am not the most crafty person, but I've got friends who can fab stuff out of metal for free. Do you think this would be an easy thing to do? Thanks

Cant say for sure since I dont recall excatlly where the tabs are, but you might be able to micky-mouse it with some drilled L-brackets JB welded to the grill.

Might not fit right and may be more trouble than its worth unless you have an intact grille to use as a template.

Did you pay more than $146.60 , thats what a new color matched grille would cost?

If you can fix it with a little JB Weld and sheet metal brackets I would go for it.

That's what I was thinking... I don't have a stock grille as a template, but I feel like I could line it up and figure it out?

I would be paying $35 shipped... So it sounds like it's worth it.

Do you have a black one? I'd give you $50 it it had the tabs, I can still cancel the ebay transaction.
