The DC header is the same as the stock one. It's a strait bolt on.

There really shouldn't be a header out there that is shorter or longer. Unless it was custom built for you, the majority of them are straight bolt ons.

basicly you wont change your torque/hp curve just clean up what is already there.

can you still use the heat shield

or reuse it

The heat shield does not fit correctly, but you can have a muffler shop weld some new bolt on the header for the stock heat sheild to fit. You would need to take off the stock heat shield and than take it to a muffler shop with the header for them to make it fit. If you need a stock heat shield I got one here for $10 plus shipping. :D

With the DC header, the ceramic coating should shield enough heat away from the engine bay... I haven't had any problems...

I think he wants a heat shield for smog protecting. :D So if the smog guy does look back there, that it looks like its a stock one. Sneaky sneaky. :)

i hope you have a tC....althouth this is in the xA and xB section....hmmm. i don't think having the heat shield on there is gonna make a difference as far as it being a sleeper....because of the location:P you can't see it unless you really really try :P and if someone is looking that close at your car, it will probably be someone you already told you have a hearder (haha sorry couldn't help it either). anyways, every header i know, is an equal length.

haha, i actually own an xA myself, with a DC header. i was just trying to point out that on the tC the header would actuall be visible, whereas on the xA and xB, its hidden pretty good. :)
