Looks good to me. Mine look exactly like that.

 

Not to sound harsh, but you need better pix. They look hazy from what I can see.

 

yeah my bad. its from my cell phone which is only 2Mp. I left my camera at home and paint these at my shop... Tomorrow I will buff these babies out an get some 10Mp shots in...

 

Did you do any wet sanding? Looks like orange peel, maybe its just the pick....anyways, not to dark IMO because my TYCs are darker.

It's not that your cell phone is only 2mp (that more or less just determines the size of the image). It's that it is a crappy camera.

Anyway, need some daylight pics to really tell.

yeah alright guys i'm gonna go take some better pics today, i did wetsand between coats, first coat with 0000 steel wool, second with 800 then topcoat. now im gonna buff them. does that sound like a good plan?

 

has anyone had any problems with the po po's with blacked out tail lights?

 

Those look pretty damn dark. I did the same thing when I had my 3000. Looks like you've got some more illumination than I did bc I didn't wetsand in between coats. There would be a bunch of us driving somewhere and we would get spread out. My tail's were so pitch black that my buddies would tell me I straight up disappeared at 150 yards or so at nighttime. rofl

The true test is to see how bright they are during the day. On a sunny day, sometimes you can't even tell if a car is on the brakes at all with super blacked out taillights.

 

they look dark, and in MY opinion, would look better polished

 

What has prevented me thus far from tinting mine is the fact that if you get rear ended by someone, the blame can be placed upon you for having the taillights tinted and causing difficulty in light visibility (which the person who rear ends you would claim).

 

they look fine get some led bulbs and you shouldnt have to worry about it thats what i did

 

Mine look like that lol i dont think they look bad. I have orange peel too but i don't wanna risk messing it up by wetsanding and repainting

yeah i buffed them out this afternoon and they look nice... def. not too dark... ill get some pics up soon, also where can i get LED bulbs?

 

The LED bulbs won't make it shine through brighter.
