Default Resonator DIY?

So I put in my header the other day, and yes, I knew I was going to get the rasp. I have an HKS axleback coming in the mail to make everything deeper, and I just ordered a 17" resonator as well.

Are there any DIY's on installing a resonator?
or is it as straightforward as I would think.

Cut out 17" section of midpipe.
Weld .
Reinstall

??

oh and i searched, I jsut couldn't find anything relevant

haha okay. just wanted to make sure, Didn't want to hassle with welding something in then figuring out I did it wrong.

Have any opinions on which part of the mid pipe to place it on?? or does it not matter at all.

(I would just think the farther up front, the more effective against the header)

I think resonators are directional, one way = quiet, other = loud

if it has teeth inside it is directional......for less sound face teeth towards header, for more sound face teeth to muffler.

if no teeth and just holes it is not directional and can be welded on either way.
