Default Question about the navigation headunit on the 08-09 xB2

Are they DVD based, or hard drive based?

Do you have to put in the maps DVD to be able to use the navigation feature?

I don't have an xB2, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks for the info.

I wonder if the new headunit they'll be using in the 2010 models is DVD based or HDD based.
