We are putting together a cruise in memorium of Corina Iosia who passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 22nd. The cruise will start @ the Tacoma M&G location and end at Wilder Scion in Port Angeles.

Please save the date and and check back often as we will post more info about the cruise as it is confirmed. With the closure of the hood canal bridge as well, we will most likely take 101 through Olympia. It is spec'd at a 2-1/2 hour drive so I will round to 3 with a stop along the way. Corina was a wonderful person, so sweet and caring, it breaks my heart that she left us at such a young age! I would not miss this for anything!!

We will be there as well,Cindy spoke to her family this week and her mom is very grateful to hear she had such great friends as all of us.

I for one will miss Corina very much,she was one of the first people in the comunity I met,we had the tC for 3 weeks and met at the Scion Jam at Ft Lewis.

It is painful to think of a person passing so young........we have known now since late Friday night and she has been on my mind since that night.

I am sure I have pictures of her at BoB,I will see what I got and post them up.......

What an absolute tragedy. Erik thank you for posting this and organizing this, Erik and I will try very hard to make this.

My prayers go out to those feeling the pain of her loss, which I'm sure is so much more than just friends and family as she was always such a joy to be around.

I remember the first time i met her....she was shy at first we didnt chat that much, but when we started to know her she opened up....she was a very exciting person to be around....she will truly be missed....

I just got off the phone w/ Wilder Scion in PA, they are totally down for this, we just need to figure out how many are going and it would be nice if we could all bring something to eat up there, kinda potluck BBQ style...told her 20 or under but that is not a limit just a ballpark. I remember driving out to PA for the Wilder poker run last year. There were 3 other tC's and I believe an xB. Everybody went there separate ways but we all seemed to meet up in the middle of the run at the ice cream shop called "Granny's cafe" just out of town on 101. It stuck out because Bethany's little sister got bit on the cheek by one of the goats you can feed there and everyone was laughing...except Collete (Bethany's little sister :P ). I remember just kicking it for a few, finishing off the ice cream talking about our cars, future plans for them, and what the summer might hold...you will be missed Cornia you were always one (or 5 ) steps ahead of me on mods and I was really looking forward to the changes you were making for this coming season, and kicking it again at all the events, now we can't.

We were finally able to get ahold of Mike yesturday........Mike and Corina were a couple for many years and he came to many of the shows with her.

As many can understand Mike is rather upset from everything that has arisen in the last 2 weeks.

But we are hoping he will be at the dealership to be with us all to remember Corina.

I really want to take part in this but got my weekends all screwed up and I'm hosting a bridal shower on the 13th, so unfortunately I can't make it up. If there is anything that is needed please let me know, I really enjoyed talking to Corina at the shows and online, her car was one of my favorites to drool on

i hope so too....maybe a little tc decal and in loving memory around it with her name on it....i would put that on my car.

The problem with that is things like a magnetic 'in memory' tag can't be ready in time from my usual supplier, so I'm going to check to see how horrible the cost is to try to do it locally.

Ok guys.......I know we are doing this drive to remember a friend in passing.........but I also know we need to have soem sort of food when we get to the dealership..........we got a long drive so cooking is out as I cannot keep the food fresh that long.

So potluck it is........I will bring some chips,dip,cheese,stuff liek that to do liek snack food......can someone or a few someones bring soem drinks.............

I am celebrating Corina's life on this cruise.....I will not be sad for her that day,I have been sad since finding out about this and I wish to celebrate her life that day as we all should.

So I will bring enough snack food for like 30 people,but cannot afford beverages......I am too broke this summer.

We are also working very quickly to work on gettign vinyls done up,phone call into Josh has been made,waiting for call back........perhaps Tomas and Kanchi can cordinate with Cindy.

Cindy has been working very hard to keep this moving forward,we are working on Corina's car to be there,Mike,and Corina's mom is also working on flying up for this,she really wants to share in this to get to see a part of her daughters life in all of us.........in a strange way we are all family.

There is a lot of places in town just going to be an issue finding a parking lot that is not McDonnalds, or or walking a ways. Guess we could do drive through then go to a park or back to the dealership.

guys I think reading is overrated at times but if you do so you see I wrote we have no way to cook or keep food in need of cooking fresh which is why a snacky potluck......stuff that can be bought off the shelf in a store.

There are several places to eat on the way and in PA.........and eating afterwards is a great idea,but it is nice to have some snacks and drinks while we are there.

Instead of hotdogs........how about peperoni sausage or something like that,fruits are great,vegi platter and dips,cookies,cake,soda,water,beer,scotch,what have you.

Not asking everyone to bring something,just looking for a couple of people that can pitch in and bring a few items.

**update**

they re-opened the hood canal bridge this week so I have re-vised the route accordingly. This will cut about 45 min out of our drive so I am having us leave a little bit later (10:15 instead of 10:00) also we will still have enough time for a stop if people need gas/ bathroom break along the way (Silverdale looks about like the mid-point).

I am in for snacks and think that would be best at this point, then afterward its about a mile and 1/2 further to town and there is a McDonnald's and Wendy's right there.

Haven't logged onto SL in a while. My jaw dropped when I read this. Corina was a great friend and she was really close by my area; with that closeness, we became friends. If I end up going, and if Silverdale is the halfway point, could I meet you guys there instead? Don't want to be selfish, but to drive out to Tacoma and then drive back up this way might be kinda redundant.

There are a lot of gas stations in Silverdale, but one with a lot of parking? Not so much. The Kitsap Mall is pretty much in the center of Silverdale, with gas stations within five minutes in three or four different directions. Possible suggestion would be to land at the mall, and branch out and get gas/eat/etc. then reconvene at a certain side of the mall. I'd park on the Kohl's/JC Penney side of the mall, as it's the closest side to the 3-North on-ramp.

But like I said, I don't even know if my Saturday will be available for this. Just trying to help out!

Eh........we kinda are just doing what feels right.......some days you just have to listen to your gut and do what needs done........it is all the people that show up and come along to share their support in this that make it special.......I would do the same for anyone in the comunity.......remember effort is free........and the differance that effort can make is amazing.

not a bad idea....i dont have any scion shields tho.....

I think he was referring to just putting a strip along the Scion logos on our cars.

no need for tape.....that is why I got the window vinyls .......

Her parents were very happy to meet us tonight at the MG.....they were blown away by our dedication to get her car cleaned,polished,and waxed,did the tires and Joe spent about an hour doing the AP exhaust and think he did the rims.

She is rolling on the painted stockies and the Kyowa KR206 are sitting in the garage for some reason,not sure why they are off the car,the radiator cooling plate is missing as well.......I will give them the web site to get another one. and site for new wheels,I know Corina liked the Work CRkai's and they are very close to what was on it except of course they are Works,her parents want to get them to put on the car.


got her Balliztik banner on the car and on the rear got her In memory of vinyl on as well........cleaned the motor bay up a little........so she is ready to go for a cruise with us all............

well i just got home and i am tired just like to say it was a great cruise and a heartful day for a friend i know the pics will soon be up cant wait to see them all

What a great day for a drive, had to muddle thru the rain until Oly, then sun the rest of the way. Great to see everyone and to meet Corina's mom and step dad. Thanks to Wilder Toyota for the great bbq, the staff was great. Will get my pics up later tonight or in the morning. Need to start a pic thread.

It was a beautiful drive and got to meet some new people as well as see old friends i havent seen in some time. I finally met Tomas!! Well as much fun as it was it was still a sad day. I am just glad we gave Corinas family somethign to remember forever. I know it ment alot for us to show up and I am glad i got to partake in such a wonderful event for a beloved scion family member we will surely miss. The ceremony was very touching and couldnt have been in a more beautiful place. There will be pics from me up hopefully tomorrow or tonight.

You will always be in our thoughts Corina!

On a nice thought.......her mom and step dad made it home safely with the car and are very greatful for all of us sharing this hard time with them.
