Default thinkin about this exhaust set up...

My exhaust right now is stock except for the Megan axleback and we al know that's not the loudest in the world so!.. I was thinking about cutting my resonator out and making it a straight pipe but instead of a straight pipe maby a cherrybomb? Today my friend said I should replace my cat with a cherrybomb But I won't pass inspection with that. So my question is should I take out my resonator and replace it with a cherry bomb or a straight pipe?also if I get headers I don't want it to sound raspy so that's why I think I'm gonna go with a cherrybomb as a resonator

theres no point in taking out the resanator in the stock pipeing it wont get much louder unless you replace it with a 2.5 inch piping...il take out the 2nd cat but ill have a 18 inch resanator if going with the megans midpipe///downpipe i would go with invidia.....you can get header just needs to get a cat on the mid pipe along with a nice size resantor to eliinate the rasp.....

just save up some money cause when you have headers, you are going to hate the way it sounds...

keep it clean for now. loud isnt always the best imo

its the pipe that connects the mid pipe to your header.. its the one you see under the oil pan. basically shaped in a "s"

what i did that made things loud on my bsp was kept stock headers and spipe, and did a straight pipe then on...

also on my SW i was supercharged, dc headers, indivia spipe, tsudo midpipe, injen ses axle back... SUPER LOUD and raspy(couldnt find a muffler shop to put in a res) -- no cats

i honeslty wouldnt cut any of the stock pipes just in case if you have to put them back on for any reason...replacing the midpipe will get you louder you can get a custom one done..downpipe isnt really goona make it louder just deeper but the most restrictive part on the exhaust...just rember if you get header you will have crazy rasp.......unless oyu make modifactions to the midpipe before the header go on....but midpipe and downpipe wil be good for now..header i would do last

Only way that Megan is gonna sound louder and not like crap is to put on a new exhaust can.Cutting out the stock resonator and putting in a cherry bomb is not gonna really do it for you,the bomb will cancel out almost as much sound as the stock resonator and in about a month will get raspy.Straight pipe will also bring the rasp.......louder is not always better if the tone is not good.
