Default Front Headlights\foglights - OEM or Generic?

I want to swap out my headlights for either OEM projector lights:
http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1745

or a generic model. The generics on the forum are about 1/2 the cost as the OEM's but I care more about what is going to last or shall I say.... what has lasted for the forum people. I know the OEM's are going to last. How about the generics?

Also fog lights. There are a few people who are selling fog light inserts for the right and left bottom bumper. Anybody have pics of such? Or any install tips? Or maybe someone thinks they aren't even a good part? Let me know - thanks.

The foglights i have the OEM ones and they will be taken out because my intercooler will be there. Can I use the same OEM wires for the new foglights or is it a special harness since it came from toyota? I want to sell the foglights so I dont know if I would need to take the lights and wiring out or just the lights.

the vrd/apt fogs hook into teh same harness but they come with all teh stuff u need (switch, wires, relay, harness connectors) so if u are selling them then remove all teh wires at the front bumper and at the switch but not the wire connecting the two. VRD's are a breeze and they look great

VRD and APT lights are the same. Ebay is the best place. i bought VRD's for 140$ i think. APTs should be a bit cheaper maybe.

There needs to be a couple notches cut in the OEM front lip in order for the fog lights to fit in there. Ask Carbonxe.

now with the headlights i am gonna go with trdsparks projector headlights from the 08' - far as i know they will fit with no issue right? Also, there are so many people selling inexpensive hid kits on SL - whats a good brand? I dont wanna buy something that is going to melt my harness. I had an old set of mccullough branded ones and they were great quality

More than likely the halos will burnout in a few months like most peoples and the cutoff for them is horrible.
