did you feel a difference with it like quicker revs and shifts?

cmcpride
06-07-2009, 06:44 AM
yes, firm shifts . trans likes to shift right before redline when in wot. or manual shifting ... it was fun driveing my auto, quicker rev ... not to sure . well i did 9.58 on 1/8 drag. on auto trans ....

Why the Swap to a 5 Speed?

cmcpride
06-10-2009, 01:20 AM
supercharged and swap LOL its a long story .... i was orig going to buy an 05 manual tc but my wife lol convinced me to get auto because she doesn't know how to drive manual. so over the years i saved money for an auto valve body upgrade and loved it but then i thought to my self guess what she's never ever driven my car so i said f-ck that and swaped. but don't get me wrong the upgraded trans was fun... but i do miss manual..

Gotcha', my Girlfriend is the opposite, she prefers Driving Stick, so every project car we pick up, which is usually a 5 Speed, she grabs the opportunity to drive. We just picked up a 95' V6 Camaro, that's an Auto, and we're roamin' the bone yards looking for an LS1 with a 6 Speed.
Good luck with the Sale Man!

Well I'm a master tech over at toyota . So labor was free . Parts around $400 for trans, and $400 for clutch atc. Wire harness 100 with ECM . I look and look for the best deals, no need for axle and or mounts you could use your old ones , and if you want not even ECM or harness but you'll have engine light .

cmcpride
07-08-2009, 06:32 PM
Like I said before
I paid 400 that included clutch master , flywheel, shifter and cables , all you need to
do is look around for deal, junk yards or salvaged tc

I did that with my 94 camaro. dropped in a LT1 and did the swap to a t56 tranny.
