so i just had a 12lb flywheel put in with my new clutch and about 80% of the time when i'm coming to a stop and put my car in nutureal it just dies.

anybody have any ideas, check my profile for parts list.

 

Was the battery removed? If so the car will need some time to relearn the idle.

Also if you restart the car and let it idle does it still die or only after you drive and come to a stop?

 

it doesn't die during idle, only when I'm coming to a stop. usually from a higher speed.

yes my battery was removed and i was thinking the same thing about my fuel trims being relearned. I'm hoping that's all it is!!

Hey maybe try checking your battery connectors...one of them might be a little loose

 

You most likely have a vacuum line or a vacuum leak somewhere.

 

You may find that the car stalls more often unless it's been tuned for it. You have less spinning mass and therefore the flywheel slows at a quicker rate compared to the OEM FW, the idle circuit isn't tuned to catch it quickly enough out of the box.

possible solutions:

always drive your car on the track

or just plan for the stall and feather the gas when you come to a stop.

 

yeah my tune had crossed my mind in the same sense that you explained it, but i fixed my problem.

Because of the new clutch i was being very gentle with the car, but today i decided to really give it some boost, in doing so i blew a charge pipe that def. wasn't clamped all the way. It was leaking ever so slightly, not enough to really show up on a AFR gauge, but enough to make it lean enough to stall. Tightened it up and it's all set!

I did notice my AFR's were a little funny, but just thought it was because my fuel trims were reset, but it was a leak.

shoulda double checked my pipes!
