Hey guys, need your opinion on something. How do we feel about painting my HKS black?
It didn't cross my mind at first, but my sister said something and now I'm kind of considering it. Normally I would think that wouldn't be too cool, but my car is pretty blacked out (tint, taillights, turn signals, rims, eyelids,ect..) and I think it would kind of tame the appearance down.

What do you guys think. here are a couple pics of the exhaust to help the decision.

hahahh. I know. When I put in my resonator this week that's the first thing to happen.

but we feel good about the black?

 

I think the black would look good, as long you don't mind repainting it occasionally from the paint chipping off, etc..

 

yea definately chop back and the black exhaust would look pretty nice.....also need to black out those center caps

 

you should take off the Tc and paint that black or just leave it off and take off the dealer sticker gives it a cleaner look.

i say do it!! i have the same exhaust, and i was thinking of doing the same thing. i would like to see it on another car first though.

 

I thought I was looking at a Honda for a minute there. That thing is HUGE!

 

I know. it kind of scared me when i first opened the box.
I literally said "holy ____t". 4.5" opening.

But i figured once i get it installed right, it wont look so bad.

Looks nice, still sticking too far out though. Those Apexi Noir Exhausts comes in Flat Black now.

 

Apex made their N1 mufflers in different colors.

 

yea, in these pics it looks like it's sticking out a lot, but I fixed it and it looks a lot better than it did

 

Looks pretty good......what paint did you use?

 

Rust-oleum gloss protective enamel.

something along the lines of that. I actually really liked the paint, it was really shiny, applied good and it helps prevent rust too. sweet.
