Freedom of speech is a powerful thing and as americans, visitors, or intruders we all have the same rights to that freedom until its abused. I happen to know the folks at tCtunerz, and many other speed shops in California, and all up and down the east coast. Everyone has _______s and opinions just alike and everyone grows more and more lazy and impatient as cell phones, computers, ups, fed ex and the internet continues to desensitize peoples reality, and mistakes that people, god forbid, sometimes make.

I personally order a lot from the internet. Not so much cause I am lazy, but because anyone that lives in Southern California or a major city period knows the hasle of traffic, and over crowding in stores.

I have also been in the Import Industry for over 6 years now, I am the former Director of Marketing for Clutch Masters, and Phantom Grip, I run my own business and I help develop a number of other business. I am a former member of Team Tritek, unheard of by many, but has proclaimed successes like TV appearences, magazine appearences, etc.

The point is I purchased a Scion tC, & have grown quit attached to it. I got my car in late august, ahead of a lot of you that have had to and still may be on a waiting list. When I started looking for things to personalize my car there was only one site with extensive amounts of information, a project car, and a host of self developed products. I immediately contacted the owner, introduced myself, and have been dealing with him soley ever since.

I can honestly tell you folks that based on my own experiences with this company, these acuzations are unwarrented and overstated. The owner of this company is working damned hard to insure that the tC owners of the world have a place to go to find out the latest news and pick up the coolest parts. For the folks that feel they were screwed, I think that it is good to voice your opinion, but please organize your arguement before you just start typing away, and make an attempt to locate a phone number and call to speak with someone one on one. The import industry is full of young business men and women that love the sport and see the future. Not every web based business is an ebay or a bestbuy...there is margin for error.

A good example from personal experience:
I ordered new living room tables for my house from feldmanfurniture.com, i spoke personally with a rep prior to placing my order, to confirm stock, and clear any pre-disappointment red tape.
I then placed my order online. this was december 29th.
I finally got my tables on the 17th of january, was I upset?, a little, did go online and slander the company?....NO! - here is why:

I called and spoke to the sales guy about stock. they had it
I asked about their volume of sales and turn around times - they are busy
I asked if they are a direct retailer or a drop shipper - he said both

the delay was caused by the holiday schedule, and regular shipping dates designated by the company. which are only 2 times a week, plus it came ground from NYC to california.

In your "good example", you were able to speak to the person to clear things up and you got straight answers. From what I've read, those two things are some of the main complaints people have about this person/business. The fact that you have never had a problem doesn't make real problems other people have had "unwarrented and overstated". That is comparing apples and oranges.

TCTunerz started a thread about their allegedly undeserved reputation but makes a point to reference past problems but not any resolutions. I know I have read at least two posts from this same person (Maybe, who knows, another questionable factor) that the situation with Chris would be getting resolved, but have yet to see anything saying that it has been. A few simple mistakes is one thing...

It seems like all he has to do is take care of his promises and this mess would go away. Why wouldnt he do that?

But funny how when other businesses promise to take care of the situation, and do, how all of the bad press goes away. But the fact that Duwayne/Quick doesn't respond should raise a flag for all that is concerned.

Like I stated, when Chris calls me and says that he has been paid back in full, then I will not bring up the situation anymore.

i would be all up for posting everything i have on him, but it will probably end up getting deleted or locked because some mods think i am only here to attack him, but i was given this warning long before quick became a memeber of this site.

To clear a few things up;

In the past communication between Chris (Abbfanuc) wasn’t present which provoked him to post irrationally, since then our business arrangements have been mended. Chris is a busy guy with work and hasn’t had time to post in regards to the matter however those that know him know that if he wasn’t happy at the present time he would make it clear by posting online.

TheScionicMan makes a good point which is why we have implemented our toll free number with automated voice prompts and direct connection to any one of our employees/affiliates. We are still working out the bugs and making the system user friendly however we can be reached via email, AIM, Yahoo Messenger or by phone during normal business hours.

The reason it seems as if we are unorganized and don’t handle our affairs is due to the fact that individuals that haven’t done business with us, let alone purchase a product from us think they know the situation at hand. You have a select number of ‘post whores’ that try to play a savior roll when they have nothing to do with the situation. I can understand a post here and there however maliciously posting on every thread where tCtunerZ is brought up and having slander in signatures is a bit extreme.

In regards to tCtunerZ using unauthorized pictures, we have had only one incident where a company did not want their product on the site and within minutes they were taken down. We don’t understand the bitterness arising from having a site in which we inform the tC community of products available for their vehicles whether or not we used pictures from another site. We have a disclaimer on our site for this specific reason. The pictures are not used to sell a product that is different from the pictures displayed, for items we do not have access to we do not offer them for sale however we do keep a database of inquiries to base the number of products we need to stock. An example in regards to pictures and slander, the TRF Spoiler is a big hit however the manufacture came under scrutiny in regards to tCtunerZ untrue reputation and did not want to be affiliated with us. TRF’s request to remove pictures came after weeks of great communication between our companies and us wanting to purchase 25+ spoilers to keep stock and offer painted, an option we hear they are not offering. The day TRF were to confirm our price and purchasing arrangements the deal went sour behind them being informed that tCtunerZ is not a respectable company based on the belief of others that have not done business with us.


We do business with a number of respectable companies in the Scion community that have even given us praises and confirmation that we are legit and trust worthy. The part that we don’t understand is how the voice of internet trolls rank higher than reputable companies…

i have my own business and i know that you make mistakes now and then but its your responisibility as an owner to please your customers even if it has to come out of your pocket so that you can avoid situations like this... and yes, ive done it.


after all, the customers are the ones that advertise by word of mouth and they are the ones that pay your bills

Very true. I must agree on that one. You always hear the bad things and rarely the good things. I speak with tctunerz almost every day, he's a good guy. I think more people need to find that out then to listen to all the yappin from the other people.

I'm on the same boat. It's ridiculous that people who have never bought anything from him are the ones who are here to bash. I don't think ikonxone has ever purchased anything and the only reason this started was because something bad happened to his friend...IT'S NOT YOUR FIGHT.

And when Quick first began tCtunerz...I personally hooked him up with 5+ retailers to sell his products through because I was the first person to see the quality, meet him in person and found out he's a real chill guy, and got a turbo sponsorship through the shop his tC was getting turboed.

i dont get it ....... all this crap since day one has been making me mad reading all of this junk. I remember i ordered the cathode kit from tctunerz aka dwyane and waited , and waited ..... after e-mails and e-mails and no response i got very upset. I even called my bank to talk about fraugilism. They told me that they couldnt do anything do to the fact that i purchased it w/ my own doing. I noticed he had a S.N. on his site to contact person. I immedatley added that to my username and talked to dwyane. Cussed him out a bit. lol ... And bothered him and bothered him so he can give my shiznit. He specifically told me hands out what the problems were and that he need to get the situated. The problems were that to many users looged on his site and crashed his system which made him upgrade to a higher standard system. I mean i dont know if this is true or not. But overall i have been talking to the man ever since. I seriously can tell you all that Quick is very cool. I've even talked to him allegedly and hopefully for a sponsorship. If you guys have bad expiernces w/ companies to cry out to others in need. Talk to person in charge. If things get out of hand thats when the law comes in. But you crying and not showing proof of any of your problems is nothing. I trust TCTUNERZ and i can say im a happy customer.

I Trust Tctunerz, and after i started a post about my order i realized that "quick" is a bad ___ guy who trys to help out. Its not his fault that companys under estimated the Tc market. Secondly its not Tctunerz fault that it is on backorder. I got my Tein springs and when my KN was on backorder Quick called me the same day asking me what i wanted to do. Yes its a lil slow to get a response, but give it time, i mean how much can one man do

I have never said not to buy from tctunerz. what i am saying is to be careful with the "owner". Duwanyne aka quick or any other alias he has come up with has had sour business practice in the past. he literally ripped off hundreds of corolla owners for thousands of dollars. he then started the same stuff on eclipse, mazda, matrix and other forums. most of which he has been banned from. i honestly hope duwayne has changed because maybe, just maybe he will pay back the people i have a list of that still haven't been paid back from the corolla community that he "promises" to do. duwayne knows that what i am speaking of is 100% true right now. if it is not then i would like for him to deny it, but he won't because he knows i am right. i am not trying to fight someones elses fight, but give people out there a far warning about him.

one thing i know that if you are in so cal, then you don't have to worry. if he is selling an item that is dropped shipped from another company, then you don't have to worry. if he starts the whole, the item is on back order then get a refund and buy when it is in stock. you only have 30 days to get a refund, after that you are screwed unless you go to court.

In any event, I knew about Duwayne about 6-7 years ago when I had a Corolla. I've since moved to MINIs and Lexus', but am looking at a Scion for my Fiancee. Even back then he was on the Yahoo! club forums making claims that he would have this and that available, and that he was going to put the Corolla on the map. Of course there was no follow through and generally he would get flamed quite a bit.. Perhaps he's gotten older and has better business practices, but it appears to be the same stuff. I recall him stealling pictures from all sites (including one I worked on myself, corollaperformance.com), and then right-click supressing them so no one could take them from his page. He also worked with a guy named Sam, if I remember correctly. Sam always seemed like a decent guy, and no one ever really had any problems with him. So there's my two cents, even if windowtint is a troll.

What really turned me off about your company was when you were "selling" the halo HID headlights and the producer of the lights didnt even know. You even had a price on your website?!? how can you try and sell a product you dont have, nor have even contacted the manufacturer or distributer? smells fishy :eyebrow:

To be fair tCtunerz website is nice, you do offer more products for the tC than anyone else i have seen, and you offer products i havent seen anywhere else. but are you really selling them or just trying to scam me out of my money? i tried calling the help line in an attempt to talk to a sales rep or manager or someone to squash my fears but i was unable to talk to an actual person. If i had you probably would have made a good deal of business.

I personally think that this forum is specifically to discuss certain topics pertaining to Scion. And, when there is a company doing wrong to fellow Scion owners, most of us want to hear about it. It's not as if we're contacting the Times trying to get a slander story published. We're simply letting other owners know which companies to stear clear from, and in some cases, venting. For someone to write that we shouldn't tell the bad stories of how a company has done us wrong is simply being foolish and I would believe that there is a connection with that person and the company.

I personally haven't delt with tctuners.com, however, I have a friend with a tC who ordered springs. They not only have yet to arrive, but my friend has yet to hear from them. That's after 3 weeks!

So, don't write on this forum that we shouldn't "slander" the company. If I was in the position of ANYONE who had a bad experience with this company, I would write a freggin essay on why they suck.
