3 of the tires on my car have Falken Ziex 512's, but one has a new Falken Ziex 912 as the previous owner only replaced one because of a flat. the front tires have the 2 different tires. I've read that this isn't good to drive on this, especially if they aren't the same tire or age because of wear issues as well as drivability issues. I've definitely noticed a difference in grip since the 2 off tires are in front. My question is, what is the best option short of replacing all 4 or 2 tires? Ideally, I'd like to replace all 4 at a time, but i don't think this will happen b/c of the newer tire. thanks.

If you can get a new 912, put that on the front with the other one. Still not idea b/c of wear and age, but at least they'll be the same tire and take some of the issue out of the equation. But really, ya, you should be replacing 2 or all 4.

I don't know what to tell you to do RIGHT NOW about your tire issue. BUT as for the future I say when the 3 older tires wear out, replace ALL FOUR, then use the newer tire and throw it on a stockie rim as your full size spare. :silly:

just replace the remaining three to match with the newest tire. I know how you feel haha cuz i had to replace one tire in the front from a flat for about two weeks before i replaced the other three. the new tire pulled me to the left more after i put it on before replacing the other three so yea it's not fun driving like that

The 912 is the successor to the 512. they both have the same treadwear rating. I wouldnt worry about it. If youre concerned, then move the 912 to the rear. If this were Winter I'd be more concerned about driving in winter rain.
