I am really kind of leaving the Tuner type look and taking off ALL the CF on my car since I am going more JDM/Vip Style these days.

I need to check my OEM Hood for damage but if it's in good shape I am planning to remove the hood bra from my CF hood, put it on my OEM one and re-attach it to my car. The Red CF hood I have just does not flow with my theme anymore.

I already have the hood off and sporting the OEM one. Shipping is just way too complicated and expensive for an item like this.

Here are some pics :) some very old ones as well.

You can know it's my xA by this mod. Or used to be. But it's time for change :)

Here is a new pic for you :)

DAMN !! If you would ship I would, depending on shipping cost..LOL ! Jump on this NOW !!!!

INFINI
06-24-2009, 12:24 AM
Thanks Eddie and Y would ship but I would have to take it to a shipping place that will pack it and make sure it sure to you safe. I can pretty much say it will be a hefty shipping price. I would say add another $100+

Thing is I really do not want to deal with any issues like it breaking during shipping and all that legal BS and haggling for them to refund me, unhappy customer etc. etc. etc.

It's really up to the buyer :) I will add $$ to the shipping cost for insurance. I will even insure it for the price I paid when I first got it. but I would also need to find the receipt....

BATComm1

Still tempted..what do you think it weighs..I might do some checking shipping...

INFINI
06-24-2009, 01:29 AM
It's not very heavy. The issue is it's size and shape.

INFINI

Your not gonna get one. Like I said there were only like 5 made and put on cars. I got the last one and it was hardly even finished. Sorry.

Hey by chance do you know what size wheels that are on the black xA that the guy built to look like the FAB customs xA..I posted and asked him but no answer so far, I am doing the fab kit and going with 18's and just wondering if I will have to drop it to take up any wheel gap.

So WOW I took off the hood Cowl/Bra and hehe there is def some fading on this hood. Nice and red where the hood cowl was :) I will post pics up later. I forgot my camera in the car.

So I will assume the one that wants it will be ok with that :) I will take off $50

I can say an estimated $250 shipped. $125 local pick up.

Well this coming weekend hit me up. I will start lookng around for places of interest. I really need to have a good reason to go up north and the trip is gonna in the end cost me a bit. Way past a trip to Oxnard.

Montana De Oro looks great, but I hear they put up fences on the cliffs.

Keith.

I think it would be better to just buy a hood cowl like I had on it. You can re-finish the entire hood I believe but I have no idea if the color issue is deep into the CF itself.

Finding a Hood Cowl will be difficult and the wait time to get it will be about 5-7 weeks. I can find one for you if you like.

Time and time again I come back to this thread...what's the installation process like for a hood?

INFINI
05-31-2010, 12:23 PM
Should be done with two people for various reasons. For example holding the other side when screwing in the bolt that attaches the hood to the car. I did not ask for help and scratched my paint on the fender. Talk about frustrating.

You also might have to adjust a bit for perfect fit. I had to to and did fine.

INFINI

No shipping FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE to the first one that can pick it up from my Mom's when she is home.

No longer driving the xA so I just wanna get rid of it to some one that will use it.
