Local "fun" car show held today. No judging, but they handed out some random cash prizes to entrants (I didn't win any. ). The show was pretty cool though. Something like 400 cars showed. Not many imports actually... and I was definitely the only Scion.

Hey how is that harness working out for you? Do you use it only for auto-x?

 

Yup, only autox. And that's pretty much how I run it. I love being able to disconnect it and stash it behind the seat when I'm not using it.

 

It looks good. Does it hold you in place pretty well?

 

Ya. Strange to get used to honestly.. because you're restricted so much. I mean, with a seatbelt you can turn your body and look in the back seat and stuff and still be restrained. Actually using a harness quite a bit different, obviously.

Heh, ya, I'm a long ways from most Scion people in NY.

 

IDK, but I think the import scene does things and looks so much better compared to that hot rod scene pics... looks boring, IMO. I entered my car into shows like this once... wasn't much fun for me. I was like the Snowman.

 

Well the import scene has stuff like HIN and other big time events that have a LOT going on. You have to consider though that most of the classic shows are with older generations and while some of them might dig wet tshirt and burnout contests... some of these people probably yell at kids to stay off of their lawn.

Sometimes these kinds of shows are nice for a relaxing day in good weather and surrounded by awesome cars.

 

yo this is in that redneck ___ town isnt it lol. rhineback or somethin along the way. i went to that spot with a few people in 07 and they were rippin on imports. little kid walks by and says daddy why do they do that to their car, father says it just gives them something to do. others just giving grimey ___ looks and just retarded comments. all good though wasnt bad except for that stuff lol.
