VERY NICE!!!! And there is still a little room for air travel in there.

SWEET JOB MAN!!!

Do you happen to have any pics of how much of the bumper you cut out? (meaning, a pic w/o the light installed but after you cut the bumper)

omg that is frickedy schweet it's probably the best set of fogs I've seen yet. The stock fogs are just not there.... who puts fogs in the lower grill? I mean really....?

do they have their own switch or did you wire them through the low-beams? what did you mean by "it took a lot of cutting" ? they look like they were designed to be there. I've seen way too many aftermarket fogs that just don't do it because they all look like they were just slapped on there for no reason.

congrats on the install, I think I found my fogs

I wired them to their own switch. I'm still trying to think of a good place to run the power so they will shut off when i turn the car off. I had to cut almost the whole vent out of the bumper from the back side. Then i had a friend that builds hotrods help me 'glass the housings in. The lens fits nice, but the housing was way to big. Thanks for all the comments and praise!

I didn't take any pics of the install itself. Sorry... I barely have any time at all to work on my car, so when i get a chance i have to do it as quick as I can. Plus, my camera was at my house and I was working at my friends garage. There really isn't that much to this install though. It's just like a typical fog light install but you have to cut the holes out a little bit. If someone would post or email me a pic of the back of the bumper I will show what needs to be cut. Anyways, here are a few night pics.....

**one last thing- the is300 bulb is a 9600. Don't use white or blue tint or the yellow will cause it to look crazy (I read that on www.is300.net)**

Sorry, i explained wrong. You don't want to use a hyper white or a blue-ish light or it will react with the yellow projector in the fog light. You want a plain halogen 9006. Sorry to confuse...

You can get IS fogs from Japan that do not have the yellow lens-

Yeah but they are like $400 shipped where i found them. Since you already have to open the housings to flip the cut-off shield, you can sand the yellow off of the projector. I found the instructions some where on how to do it, but i kinda like the yellow and it is the best color for functional fog lights.

I like the yellow too- at night you just know it is a Lexus....you can also take the lens off a RX300 and switch it with the yellow lens.

some people take the yellow lens off and just do not have a lens....that ruins 99% of the directional lighing that the fogs give you....bad idea

I had the lights originally tucked in like ShaunTC's but whenever I would look at the car from head on, it just didn't look right. So I decided to make the lights flush with openings in the vents. As a result, it turned out to look a lot better than before, even if it does stick out a bit.

No i didn't mean the fog lights they look great but from what I read on the IS forum it appears his car was in a wreck.

I'm not sure if my car is totaled yet or not. I'm dealing with the insurance right now. In arkansas the law is 70% of the value. Also, AR requires insurance companies to pay a diminished value to cover what $ i would lose by trying to sell a wrecked car. Soo.... add the damage to the diminished value figure and it should be above 70%. But either way is fine, I either get my car fixed and a couple grand, or a new car. BTW some of you on this site are _______s. Thanks to those who are open minded enough not to think any car other than an IS is "a piece of ____"........

http://www.is300.net/forums/showthread.php?t=238634&page=2&pp=30

and I agree lots of those guys on the IS forums are _______s they seem to forget that thier lexus like a scion is a Toyota from the way some of those spoiled asswipes talk you'd think they were driving Aston Martins.

1985 - early 90's Camaro IROCs and Z28s are the only cars I can really think of that put their fogs in the lower grill...

As far as this fog installation, I have to give serious props. Just freakin' cool how they fit so nice, and the funny part of the fog lights not big enough to cover the entire inlet, leaves a cool looking inlet anyway. AWESOME!
