View Full Version : any alignment problems with a 2" drop.. squarepants 01-21-2005, 03:11 PM thinking about droping my xb about 2" with the goldines will like to know if anyone has the goldlines on there xb and if how was the alignment... Dwestxb 01-21-2005, 03:15 PM I have Goldline's. You dont need an alignment, it is not necessary. dgHotLava 01-21-2005, 03:22 PM no problems.... squirrel 01-21-2005, 03:22 PM Some will say you need an alignment, some say you don't. Anytime you lower a car, whether its an inch , 2 inches, or more, the toe will be affected. Everytime I do any suspension work, or get a new set of tires/wheels, I get an alignment. Why? I much prefer paying $40-60 for a 4 wheel alignmentnow, than $200+ for tires a few months down the road due to excessive wear. mikochu 01-21-2005, 03:25 PM mooooved! I lowered my xA on Eibach pro kit springs. I didn't get an alignment yet because I want to rip my tires apart so I can get better ones... with rims :D 01-21-2005, 04:14 PM mooooved! I lowered my xA on Eibach pro kit springs. I didn't get an alignment yet because I want to rip my tires apart so I can get better ones... with rims :D I was like that when I was on the wait for my rims to come :P Nothing like the sound of tires screaming for grip after downshifting from 3-2 :P stick_1NZ 01-21-2005, 04:46 PM I lowered mine 2" with tom's and i don't know if it's the coil springs but my ride is a bit bumpy. i've ridden in my friend's xb with goldline coil springs 2" drop and the ride was smoother. do i need to maybe get shocks and struts? its_ikon 01-21-2005, 07:25 PM going lower then 1.5" or even 1" will make it more difficult to adjust the settings for a proper alignment. it will take them longer to dial it in, but it could take a couple tries before it is right. you NEED an alignment. i lowered my xB on goldlines a while back and the alignment was off. Tamago 01-21-2005, 07:38 PM mine was aligned a couple of times since lowering 2.5 on tanabe sustecs.. i plan on lots of camber soon, so i'll probably be back at the damn shop sooner than later.. TheScionicMan 01-21-2005, 07:40 PM haven't had any probs with mine and I didn't align after dropping on GoldLines. perfect tire wear so far - probably about 15k or more since then.
