Yes you can. Chris(Autosound) had at least a 2 inch drop when he was running his 19 inch wheels, prior to going to 20s.

I was told a 215/40/18 would rub.....how can that be if a 215/35/19 doesnt have rubbing issues?

oh I forgot one detail...he does have the Onetongarage shims in the back so that might make it not rub..hell my 215/40/17 will rub without spacers.

you need to have the right offset so it won't rub.

I have a set of 19' on 215/35/19 and it does not rub.

On 18's which I drive with daily.. I use a set of DUNLOPS 215/40/18.
The tire design is such to where it curves in more compared to other brands.

I am also running on 2' drop Spy Engineering springs for close to 2 years now so they have settled by now.

I trimmed off the plastic that covered a weld line. Then lightly hammered it flush then out on some undercoating.

Rubbing issues also depend on the offset of the rim ... Its not just rims and tires ... check the offsets befor you buy the rims and tires ..

I had the 19" TRD's with 215/35/19 Pirelli and I have the full TRD suspension ... I didn't have any rubbing issues ... Not sure how low the drop is on the TRD setup ...
