I would think its pointless swaping with a carmry or solara ecu. What engine does the mr2 have. It might produce a little more power but does it have the same tech. that ours have ex vvti, electronic throttle? Just wait for a chip.

the mr2 has the same engine as a gt celica, corolla (non xrs), and matrix (non xrs). 1.8L. unless you meant the older body styles.

First off stop flaming the guy. I am sure that there will be compatable swaps eventually but hell my 2nd car is a 93 Accord and they are still comiing up with more swapping ideas. Just be patient. BTW the, Empleh, the MR2 engine is entire diffrent and the only other car that shares the current MR2 engine is the lotus elise (jsut race tuned) the Celica GTS has the same engine as the GT only the Engine is VVTL-i instead of the gt's VVT-i, but the corolla and matrix share the same engine.

Thanks SSX!! i may have been missinformed by a friend w/ the mr2 thing - but cars w/ the same motor i.e. Camary may produce different air to fuel ratios then the tc. So all that are new to the performance world don't be so quick to quick to judge. Coming from the VW world this stuff works!

Any 05 model year Toyotas have to have the vehicles VIN input into the computer if not there will also be a check engine light. Try getting your emissions done with the Camry computer and it wont pass.
