My driver's side windshield washer nozzles is frozen solid, and won't shoot out any solution. I don't know what to do to get it to work again, but with all the salt and stuff on the road it makes it really hard to drive. There's no ice that I can see on the nozzle itself, and the insulation on the underside of the hood prevents me from seeing if the line itself is frozen. What should I do to remedy this? It won't be above 32* here anytime soon, and my car is always outside.

let the car idle...the temp under hood should raise above freezing...
or
get out the hair dryer...

To keep it from happening in the future try adding 1 cup of rubbing alcohol (or More), helps keep the water in the reserve tank from freezing, Esp. since its in front of the engine compartment.
i had that happen to me too i said to my self WTF then it warmed up and thawed out and it works again

This is probably the only annoying thing that I can think of about my xA... I am gonna try a different washer solvent to see if this will remedy the problem. If not then comes the rubbing alcohol... However, what will that do to the paint?

I've never had a problem with paint, however with scion paint who knows, I havn't had to do it yet. It doesn't get that cold here

I use the cheap SuperTech windshield solvent from Wal-Mart, and I have never had my nozzles freeze up. Just in case someone wants to try it, its the yellow Supertech Winter formula.

I have always used Rain-X DeIcer fluid except in my xA, after the stuff the dealer put in ran out, I bought the blue stuff at a gas station out of necessity one night. This is the stuff that is freezing up... I'll flush it out today and see if the Rain-X stuff will be alright. It hasn't frozen on me in any of my other cars or any of the security cars my company runs...
