Im gauging interest on this dell XPS m170 laptop. It has run perfect, never needed repaired, and very fast with applications and web surfing. It was bought in 2006, and I payed around 2600+ for it. Right now the screen is having problems. 2 weeks ago a purple line appeared vertically, then a few weeks later a yellow line appeared. I believe the monitor is going out due to this. How long it has, I have no idea, maybe these lines will be the only ones, its roll of the dice. You could replace the screen and have a very nice m170, which are still years later very expensive. Im deciding what im going to do with it, get a new one or fix it still...Im taking offers at this point, and I may set a price later. Pics upon request.

Load it up in safe mode, if it boots up without the lines then your graphics card is bad.
If the lines remains, your screen is bad.

Bump, the screen has 2 very thin lines going down it, can try to capture them in a pic...and ac adapter no longer works. No internal problems, I always kept it very cool and took care of it. Has a new battery that I charged about a dozen times. I can post full specs too if interested... Lets say 300+shipping

comes with all owners manuals etc..
new ac adapter is 40 bucks, new screen is roughly 120 (however screen still is very nice if you overlook the 2 1 pixel by 1 pixel lines) so you could have a BEAUTIFUL computer for 460 technically. Check online reviews they speak for themself.
