so whats better. actual tint, or spray?

does the spray fade? does the tint peel?

 

VHT Niteshade, 20 bucks for the paint, 6 bucks for clear and 3 for sand paper, 5 for rubbing compound and a day of time, take your time and it will come out great! i did it on my headlights

 

i used vynal/tint on mine and i dont like it very much, it kinda peels away and putting it on is a task. you have to heat it up stretch it out really far, if i had to do it again id do the VHT FOR SURE. i kno theres a DIY on here and it looks amazing... actually thinking about doing i to mine...

even after i perfectly fitted my tint it shrunk and pulled away from the edges

i did mine with a air gun i used black car paint

 

I still like my vinyl from bluebat. Sure it is a pain to get on, but if you ever want to take it off, it's not hard.

 

make sure you use a promoter and clean the lights well before you spray. No promoter, then you'll start getting cracks in a few months.

 

what do you mean promotor

 

Adhesion promoter, clear spray that helps paint stick. Think about it, no promoter, then what is the paint going to bite (stick) onto?

 

even w/o promotor if you do it right it wont crack

I used the overlays and paint on mine. Both look great when done right. The nice thing about overlays is, if you ever get hassled about it, you can take them off without having to buy new lights.

 

u can take the paint off without buyin new lights

use acetone and the paint will come right off, and as long as you dont sand the surface before painting you wont have any marks from the process

 

Paint sticks to a scuffed / scratched surface, so a promoter shouldn't be necessary.

 

I prefer the promoter....all about personal preference. Just make sure you remove any dirt, grease, etc before painting.

 

just scuff the lights with like 400-600 grit and it will work perfect
