Before I bought my xb, I went and looked at the Soul first, then the Cube and finally Scion. The cube I looked at was the fully loaded Krom. It was cute, but it kind of reminded me of something that maybe Dr. Seuss would drive? Anyway, entirely too small and cartoonish.

the windshield on the cube looks like it's 8 feet high. i saw a cube coming at me from the other direction and it looked like it had a monsterous forehead!

Just because I like Classic SE-R's doesnt' mean I'm a fan of a Design fail. Nothing says "CUBE" like round windows and an ENTIRE enterior that is based off of something round. Cube=Design EPIC FAIL. Maybe they should have called it the "Sphere." Then it would meet my expectaions.

I parked next to a Cube last night. Here are some photos. I was impressed with their size similarities Overall length, height, and width are very close.

By looking at it beside the box, the 'cube' looks extremely round and goofy.

Well done on the comparison pix! but I agree with some that it looks really goofy next to the box. I wouldn't replace my box with one I do know that, even before the side-by-side.

But the gadgets.. yes! i'll take those..

The Cube comes closer to the 1G xB than the 2G xB does. I like the 6 speed MTs in the Cube and the Kia Soul. If I ever have to replace my xB, I'll consider both the Nissan and Kia, but not the 2G xB.

The Kia with the 1.6 would work for me. The Cube probably won't, as its rear seats slide and don't fold. Plus I'm pretty sure the floor behind the rear seats isn't flat.

I gotta go test drive one. The price point is still a bit too high for it to have fallen under the 'perfect' category, but it's definitely worth looking at.

Our back seat doesn't fold totally flat either, but they are not as much of a difference as the Cube's.

^^^There is a huge difference in our xBs and the Cube's rear seats in the down position...trust me!
