I'm selling my VIS Racing OEM Carbon Kevlar or Fiber hood (not sure which one it is, but it looks like kevlar) locally...if the price is right. I might ship out if the buyer wants to pay shipping, but it's not gonna be cheap...There is no set price so offer! The hood in the day or night has a yellowish/goldish tint to it...it looks awesome! There are a few rock chips and a minor defect in the clearcoat, but otherwise its in great shape! You can't see them from a distance, but if you're right up against the hood you can tell. (P.S.-Those are clouds and not oxidation lol)

Overall it's a very nice hood!

it looks like carbon fiber and it looks like your hood yellowed to be honest with you, though pictures generally don't do things justice... so i could be wrong?

Well unless every single spot on the hood yellowed after it was professionally wet sanded and buffed to get the oxidation out...then i dono? All my friends are telling me it is Carbon Kevlar?

nah its the pictures making it look really yellow. and its not carbon kevlar its carbon fiber. VIS doesn't make a crabon kevlar hood.

That's what I thought when i was looking at VIS Racing's website...But its straight up yellowish/goldish in the day and at night...These pictures aren't making it look like that, that's the real color of it. The only other thing I can think of is that it was a yellow colored carbon fiber?

nah the sun will jus make it look like that with time, happened to my old one too then i sold it and the kid i sold it to got it recleared again and it was back to normal. its the sun CF does that which kinda sux but eh dont stress it unless u wanna reclear it

if u wet sand it then ud have to reclear it definatly cause it will be REAL vulnerable to turning yellow. thats wat they did to my old one.

well u have to have the body shop (dont quote me on this though) wetsand and then clear coat and the yellowing should be gone

i mean my friend who does body work to cars for a living wetsanded it, so all he has to do now is get clear coat?...all i want is a carbon fiber hood without the yellow because it wont match the carbon fiber hatch im gonna get...

so wait he wet sanded it already? how long ago did he wetsand it? that could be why its getting more yellow cause the clear coat has been sanded off. so now u need is a clear coat over it after a good wetsand but should be done all at once

he didnt do it that long ago, but he only did it because there were scratches along the sides...when he wet sanded it, it never changed how the color was and there is still gel coat on the hood...appanretly i heard that VIS Racing and seibon put extra layers of gel coat on just for that reason.

nah vis and seibon are pretty bad with the clear they never put enough, alot of places will tell u to reclear it again to prevent this, here hopw this helps u
