what are some ways i can improve my accleration? besides superchargers and turbos? im getting injen or takeda CAI, tsudo n1 catback and a invida or megan downpipe a nst over and underdrive pully,dropping it on htecs,strut bar brace ,rear sway bar. what else is there relly? i would like to eventually enter my car in car shows

Not much more you can do that isn't already mentioned...but at least acceleration doesn't matter for car shows.

well actually not really because the motor mounts helps reduce wheel hop and traction loss when engine torque dampers help stabilize the engine improves acceleration from a fixe start, smoother shifts between gears because the engine is more stabilized, minimizes mis-shifts.

motor mounts get rid of wheel hop there like 45-50 threw dezod but if u cant install them ur self a shop will rape u on the install... ur not gonna get much gain of anything unless u use nos or go turbo im sorry to break ur heart but ur just gonna waist ur money if ur wanting power with the tc without FI

 

why is there so many parts for like a civic for example but not for a tc i dont get it?

 

Civics have been out for A LOT longer than the tC which has only been out since 2005.

Wait... so you want more acceleration but you say you want to enter car shows? Which is your priority? There's a LOT more you can do visually for car shows... but you're limited for acceleration and power.

If your tires are the Avid W4S... then you can do WAY batter than those. They're all season tires - they're not meant for performance - no matter what their description says. You need summer only performance tires (then run snows for winter - pick up a used set of OEM wheels from craigslist or something, that's what i did).

 

yea i know i spent 190 for each too im a idiot i didnt know alot about tires then i was anxious to get my rims on. i shoulda waited i probally coulda got neogens or sdrives or somthing

 

I wouldn't get either one of those, personally.

You want the best street tires? Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 or Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec (dunlops are a bit cheaper).

 

Another way to get some power is Crower cams, you wont get great numbers as Vtecs do but you will feel the difference for sure. Or you can just get a wideband 02 and take it to a tuner to play with. whether your boosted or not a wideband is gonna make it easy to tune.
