Prices for Fenders and Opinions
So, a couple days ago while my car was parked at my friends house, one of his family members hit it with the lawn mower. The only damage done was to the passenger side front fender. So we got an estimate of about $480 which seems like way too much to me.
Would it be cheaper if I just bought new fenders and installed them myself? Or should I use this as a way to get some carbon fiber fenders for cheap?
I don't really know what prices would be or where to buy so could someone help me out.

I've seen a picture of a custom box floating around with CF fenders and it didn't really look good on the car IMO.
Will your insurance deductible be cheaper to run it through that way? If it's lower than $480, I'd go that route. My comprehensive deductible is set to $250, so I'd only have to eat $250.
