So I just bought the new scion xb 6.0 release series in absolutely red and i absolutely love it! The radio have full navigation, ipod hook up, sat nav ready, etc. But there's one problem. Every time I need to change the song, radio station, volume, etc it makes this horribly loud beeping sound. SO obnoxious. Does anyone know if and how I can turn it off? Any suggestions would be great! And also the passenger seat, when it is reclined and you want the seat to go back up you need to pull it up. It doesn't automatically come back up. Is this a problem in the release series or all xb's. Any help is very appreciated! Tahnk you!

Congrats.... I've own mine since may and love it..........Your right, i hate the F out of the beep....I think i seen a post on here about that.... but hopefully someone would be so kind to post the link but i think it involved putin an SD card in...Planing on starting my system in two weeks..... Lets see if i get it done... Man enjoy that.... I get some many compla. on the car it's redic... i'll be tracking this post .......

Check out avic411.com for help. You have to go into testmode and replace the "beep" files with files of no sound. You can turn down the master volume but the nav voice gets quiet too.

On my RS6, you press MENU, then SETTINGS at the bottom of the screen, then there are several choices like AV SETTINGS...NAVI SETTINGS....SYSTEM SETTINGS. It's in one of those areas. Mine has the Pioneer F900BT unit from the dealer. It drove me nuts too. Now I have it just loud enough to know I did something. But it does lower the voice in the navi screen too. I almost never use that so no biggie, I just turn it back up when I need the direction help.
