I have a fully built motor. I bought a used tt stage 1 kit. The shop that sold it to me assured me that it will support up to around 440whp. I took his word and bought it.I brought it to the shop that is doing everything which is kinda skechy anyways.I received the kit today and the core is tiny. The dude at the shop said the core is only good for 320whp if that. Does anyone run this kit with the power I'm looking for? I have another question also but I'd like to know this 1st

 

what do you mean core? the turbo? the TT is capable of 400 hp.. your 550 cc injectors will max out first before your turbo kit

intercooler core, i have 700cc injectors so theres no prob there.

 

Is there any proof that it will make 400whp and be efficeint?

 

the TT unupgraded intercooler is capable of 400hp.. but the best way to know is monitor your intake air temp.. also depends on how much boost you run

Im planning on running 16psi, im sure ill be fine. the thing im worried about is efficiency.

 

intercooler should be able to support that HP. just crank the boost up to 16 and use buttdyno.

 

Im not sure you guys have seen the size of the intercooler in person, but it looks like its for a go-cart.lol

 

your fine! 16 psi is not much for an average intercooler which you have.

 

the TT kit IC is a good size.. unless the used kit you bought changed the intercooler.. of course as you go bigger numbers the better to have a bigger IC. but that will get you to your goals

ok, ill take your guys word for it. the shop owner gave it back to me and said sell it and go bigger so i just wanted some opinions before i did that. Btw, im droped my car off in feb to get the motor built and the motor just got finished just to show what kind of guy im working with.
