I doubt if there are any figures yet for the 2009 models. What about the 2008's?

5,741 as June 2009, a 64% drop from last year.

16,179 is 2008 "year to date", which (for that report) means Jan-june 2008, not the whole year.

This is why there aren't any significant aftermarket parts for this car! There are only a handful of xDs in circulation and the percentage of potential "tuners" who own this car are insignificant in number.

The xD may one day be collectible, but not because it was a noteworthy performer, but because it is /was so rare.

It makes me wonder how accurate the reliability reports are on this car were. It is the main reason I bought my spouse one of these. How much substance can the reliability reports have if they are based on such a low number of cars on the road? Oh well, too late now.

The xD is just like the xA, I rarely see one on the road. I wanted one when I was car shopping but I had a feeling the aftermarket wouldn't be up to par.

I wouldn't worry about the engine reliability, it's same as the Corollas. How well the car will hold in the long run? Idk.

The good news is that this is not a new car for Toyota... some form of this car has been in circulation in Japan, and the 1.8 L engine is a Toyota Corolla engine, so we know that's extremely reliable.

Right, the Ist has been around for a while, as has our predecessor the xA. Besides, Lotus chose our engine to run in their vehicle, are you really all that worried?
