Default I now haz JDM VTAKZ!

Just bought a 95 Accord Sedan that I'm going to clean up and restore. Car runs beautifully, has only 128k miles on it and needs some TLC. It's a loaded EX model, leather, power everything, sunroof, auto...basically everything that makes it better for a commuter. The paint is a mess in some places, has some long scratches, swirl marks everywhere, blemishes, and some horribly attempt at a repaint on the trunk. Overall, it's fairly decent. Traded my Suzuki Z400 for it, simply because I haven't rode the quad in 4 years and don't have a way to get it around. I'm going to do my best to take before/after pictures of the paint. I'm picking up a bunch of products today after work, some compounds, paint cleaners, etc.
And no, I'm not going to intentionally rice it out. At most, I'm doing wheels, HIDs, and some basic speakers. I'm trying to avoid investing too much money into this car because I plan on running it into the ground.

I already ordered new wheels for it because I cannot be seen in a Honda that has 18" chrome wheels

F that lol. It'll cost too much money to rice this thing out .

I'm actually looking at some head lights right now and they're cheap as hell. I can get the blacked out JDM ones for only 100 bucks. Kinda needs new ones because the D/S one is foggy and yellowish.

I'm not even going to bother with that stuff.

Here's the wheels I ordered for it. I didn't feel like spending too much so I just got some tiny Motegi's with some all-season Yokohoma tires. It's going to be a commuter, so I want to keep the smooth ride. Plus with the amount of sidewall I'll have, I don't think I need to worry about these ____ty wheels breaking lol.

Haha the badge was already off the front. I might debadge the back, but I have a feeling the paint is going to come off with it.

Just got a ton of cleaning products, more than I probably need.

Mothers Gold Clay Bar kit
Meguiars Paint Cleaner
Meguiars Polisher
Meguiars Carnauba Wax
Meguairs Color X
Meguiars Swirl Remover (light cut)
Eagle One Window Cleaner
Meguairs Gold Leather Conditioner
Carpet Cleaner
Bug/Tar Remover

The hood might be fubar, but I'm going to try my best to restore the paint on it. I think I might actually replace the trunk completely because it's been repainted in some spots and they did a horrible job...plus the edge inside has a little rust. If I can find one cheap at a salvage yard, I'll just replace the whole thing.

And I picked up some RainX Latitude wipers for it. Getting it registered tomorrow and going to get new rotors/pads for it. The wheels come in sometime next week, so I'll do the wheels/brakes next weekend probably.

That's not even including the bucket full of car cleaning products that I keep inside my tC

Meguiars Color X is the greatest car cleaning product on the market. My hood had some nasty blemishes on it, to the point where it had almost no reflection anymore. Uploaded car wash progression pictures now. I washed it, clayed it, used Meguiars Color X and the paint looks amazing now (compared to before, still need to fix up the scratches and dings).

The left side is wet, the right side is dry. This is just to show how horrible the blemish on the hood was.

A little closer up, at an angle it has almost no reflection.

Even closer, you can barely see my reflection from directly above.

After cleaning the whole car, I needed to clay it. This was after just 1/4 of the hood.

After the car was completely clayed, I applied Meguiars Color X. Used a 10" Craftsman Orbital Buffer.

After the Color X. Blemish is almost completely gone.

Another angle after the Color X. Just to show that the blemish is still there, but nowhere near as bad.

A much better reflection in the hood.

I moved on to the rest of the car. The doors weren't bad at all. This is after paint cleaner, polish, cleaner wax and Color X.

Decent reflection. The paint probably can't get any better than what it is right now.

A closer up shot. It looks a little cloudy, but I think it's just from an over exposed picture. It's much darker in person, like the next shot.

All finished.

F that. I'm getting new ones lol. Instead of spending $20 for the restoration kit and $20 for the replacement bumper signal thing (it's broken), I can get all new lights for like $80.

These are the lights I'm going to buy and I'm gonna pick up a set of 4300K HIDs for them.
