Default oxidizng carbon fiber.

Hello all. I'm new the the forum but my RS3.0 is my second tc. I bought this one used, long story short it came with the vis evo style carbon fiber hood and theres oxidizing spots on it. Any suggestions how to get rid of them? Products, techniques etc. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

if that doesn't work you can take it to a body shop and have them sand down the clear coat and redo it

hope this helps...

most shops to fix the hood are gonna charge nearly as much as a new hood......is it going yellow......and if it is over the header area it will not sand out and it is heat burn and the resin is ruined, can you post up pictures.

I tried getting my oxi spots out with a cutting compound it while it did work, they came back. You will need a re-clear to permanently fix the issue

A shop i believe typically charges like 350 to sand/reclear and use that special UV resistant resin so it doesnt yellow again?

(what i was told when getting estimates)

Go find a good detailier . For a hood thats on that 240 I wouldn't charge you over 60 bucks to fix it.

not really, its hard to take pictures of because when its sunny, you get reflection, when its shady out, you can't see the carbon as well.
