So,

Andy at Verocious Motorsports tuned my car today.

I made 258 whp and 235 tq on 12psi on my small GT28RS turbo. I may not have a high hp car, but it's awesome for street use because it spools soooo quick. Also, the tune is nice and safe the way I like it. The car is everything I expected. Some of my mods are:

3 inch exhaust
Custom turbo kit
blow-thru MAF
2 step colder plugs
GT28RS turbo

I'm going to the track Wednesday, so we will see what I can achieve.

oooh this is an auto? that explains the power, i got heavily confused on how you could have put down 260whp on 12 lbs but then i saw your an auto, and your gt28 isnt THAT small? its just as big as the t3/t4 that came with dezods kit is it not? nice looking car though diggin it. Where did you end up placing your maf at, i couldnt see it in the pictures.

It's in the straight section parallel with my strut bar. And yes, the GT28 is smaller than the t3/t4. I have a friend with one and it looks a lot smaller. Maybe its just me though.

O i c, i wasnt sure which was bigger of the two, ya u must get insane spoolup in the auto, hittin boost everytime u turn a corner haha, even i did when i was auto with the dezod kit, so convenient to.... kinda miss it, what you got planned in the future?

This winter I'm doing balance shaft delete, rods, pistons, valves, all the stuff to go with them.

I already have BC cams and springs, but im waiting to open my motor up to doo all the goos stuff. Ill stay at the same power until I get my spare trans from a friend so I can build it. Also probably PBC-1 from descendant, and their fuel rail with an aeromotive FPR and all new lines. $$ comes first, and i wont buy anything on credit. It will take some time to save up, but it will be worth it.

haha no its not. I can hit the shift from 2nd to third though. Im going to the track wednesday night. you should come.

also you might make more power with 1 step colder plugs... not much but i think it will help.

The car wasn't running correctly with the 1 step colder plugs. We put the 2 step colder plugs in and it ran smoother. Dont ask why.

Oohhhhh and you have the modified valve body too Im thinking about doing it soon I def wanna see times now How is your 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift?? And can you make the shift at w0t or do you still have to let off?

Yeah, if anything, you would run smoother because more fuel would be burnt in the chamber and you would make more power... maybe they were defective or gapped too small??

soflo,

yeah i was on my computer doing work at my desk. andy called me said i needed new colded plugs. I said whatever. I dont know how it wasnt running properly. I wasnt really watching the tune, i had other work to do.

thendawg,

I can shift WOT between all gears without lifting the foot. no more getting stuck in first. The real test wi;l be at the strip though.

Well now i know where my next paycheck is going.... ANyone have a stock valve body i could buy to send in??? I cant afford to have the car down Maybe this should be my excuse to drive down to tx and get a tranny form the scrap yard for $200 - than ill have the extra tranny too

Also im looking at these for tires They seem pretty badass for a street/strip combo tire and theyre only $100/ea If i dont go for those i can get the bfg gforce t/a for $135/ea.

My street tires will never see the drag strio now that i have my stock rims to put drag radials on.

Yea no drag radials for me wheel spin is better than ____ed tranny - remember something always has to give
